When dismantling or removing equipment that contains radioactive waste oil or radioactive waste solvent (hereinafter collectively referred to simply as "waste oil") among the various equipment used in the controlled area handling radioactive substances It is necessary to separately treat radioactive liquid waste consisting of radioactive waste oil discharged from the inside of the equipment and radioactive solid (waste) waste consisting of dismantled parts of the equipment. However, it is difficult to completely discharge the radioactive waste oil inside the device, and particularly in a device having a complicated internal structure or internal shape, a considerable amount of radioactive waste oil that cannot be discharged remains.

When attempting to dismantle or remove equipment that contains radioactive waste oil that cannot be discharged, dismantle each component part of the equipment, remove the radioactive waste oil, and then carry out maintenance or disposal. This work not only has the risk of spreading radioactive contamination, but also prolongs the working time in radiation controlled areas. Therefore, the present invention can prevent the radioactive waste oil from leaking from the dismantling equipment and spreading radioactive contamination when dismantling / removing the equipment in which radioactive waste oil that is difficult to discharge remains inside, especially when removing the equipment. The object of the present invention is to provide a dismantling / removing method that can shorten the working time and reduce the radiation exposure by eliminating the dismantling work.

That is, the method for disassembling / removing equipment containing radioactive waste oil according to the present invention is a method of disassembling and removing equipment containing radioactive waste oil and / or waste solvent by adding an oil coagulant made of polynorbornene into the equipment. After the waste oil and / or the waste solvent therein is solidified, the equipment is disassembled and removed. As the oil coagulant, an oil coagulant composed of polynorbornene produced by ring-opening polymerization of norbornene is used.
Such an oil coagulant is, for example, “Cactus Oil Hardener
It is available as a commercial product under the product name "TFN-2" (manufacturer: Toho Environmental Service Co., Ltd.). This oil coagulant is a white powder having a molecular weight of 2,000,000 or more, and solidifies waste oil into rubber in a short time. This oil coagulant is insoluble in water and acts only on oil directly. Further, the oil does not re-elute from the solidified solidified product, and the solidified product can be burnt. Examples of waste oil and waste solvent that can be solidified by this oil coagulant are as follows: Petroleum-based; gasoline, white kerosene, light oil, A heavy oil, B heavy oil, C
Heavy oil, etc. Chlorine hydrocarbons; carbon tetrachloride, chloroform, trichloroethylene, tetrachloroethylene, dichlorobenzene, etc. Straight chain paraffin hydrocarbon; n-hexane, n-dodecane,
n-pentadecane, n-paraffin, cyclohexane and the like. Aromatic hydrocarbons; benzene, toluene, xylene, ethylbenzene and the like. Others: TBP (tri-n-butyl phosphate), petroleum ether, etc. In carrying out this invention, an oil coagulant is put into the equipment to be disassembled / removed to solidify the radioactive waste oil remaining in the equipment, and then the equipment is disassembled or removed according to the purpose. To do. Since the radioactive waste oil inside is solidified, it does not leak even if the equipment is dismantled, so there is no risk of expanding radioactive contamination, improving the safety of dismantling work and also making the equipment solid radioactive waste. Since it can be handled, it is possible to rationalize the dismantling process of the equipment in the removal work. Particularly in a device having a complicated internal structure or internal shape, when the powdery oil coagulant is directly introduced into the device, the oil coagulant may not reach every corner of the device. In this case, it is preferable that the powdery oil coagulant is suspended in water and ethanol to form a slurry, and the slurry coagulant is injected into the device.

The present invention was implemented when removing and replacing the rotating machine used in the controlled area. This equipment contained waste lubricating oil, and the same amount (volume) of oil coagulant "Cactus Oil Hardener TFN-2" was injected into the equipment. This oily coagulant in the form of a solid powder was used in advance as a slurry with water and ethanol (1 part water, 1 part ethanol, 1 part oil coagulant). After the waste oil in the equipment was solidified into a rubber by contacting it with a slurry-like oil coagulant, the residual slurry solvent (water and ethanol) was discharged from the equipment. When the equipment was removed, the waste oil inside was solidified and had no fluidity, so it did not leak and could be removed together with the equipment while being adhered to the inner surface of the equipment. Further, the opening of the removed component is sealed with acrylic resin or epoxy resin, and the solidified waste oil inside can be treated as radioactive solid waste together with the removed component.

As can be seen from the above description, according to the present invention, when disassembling / removing a device that contains radioactive waste oil that cannot be discharged, the waste oil inside is solidified and does not leak. The spread of radioactive contamination can be prevented and the exposure can be reduced, so dismantling and removal work can be greatly facilitated. Further, in the removal work, it has become possible to eliminate the conventional steps of dismantling and removing radioactive waste oil. Especially when using an oil coagulant in the form of a slurry rather than a powder, the oil coagulant spreads to the details of the equipment that has a complicated internal structure and shape. Can be made. Thus, the waste oil solidified inside the equipment has an advantage that it can be treated as radioactive solid waste together with dismantled or removed parts.
