A conventional brake shoe for a railway vehicle is disclosed in, for example, Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 62-35121. In this brake shoe, a back metal to which a friction member is heated and adhered is fixed to a pad mounting plate by rivets, and the pad mounting plate is slidably inserted into grooves on both sides of the pressing plate. The pad mounting plate and the pressing plate are supported by the pair of anchor pins by the caliper. The braking torque generated by the friction member slidingly contacting the brake disc is transmitted from the pad mounting plate to both anchor pins.

However, in such a conventional brake shoe, a friction member made of an organic or metallic material and a back metal are heat-bonded to each other, and the back metal is fixed to a pad mounting plate by a rivet to provide a brake shoe. Since the structure is complicated, the structure is complicated and the pad mounting plate can be reused by removing the rivet when the friction member is worn due to use, but the friction member is heated and adhered. There was a problem that it was impossible to reuse the back metal.
In particular, in the case of a landing brake shoe used in a superconducting levitation vehicle, it is necessary to manufacture all of the components with non-magnetic material, and since it is generally expensive, it is strongly recommended to reuse the components. Was wanted.

Next, with the end locking member 3 removed, the protrusions 1a and 1b of the friction member 1 are inserted along the engagement grooves 2a and 2b of the back plate 2, and then the accommodating portion 2i of the back plate 2 is inserted. Insert a thin plate-like cushioning member 6 into the recessed portion 3a of the end locking member 3,
The engaging protrusion 2f of the back plate 2 is received, and the bolt and nut 8 which is a detachable fastener is tightened through the vehicle body side shoe mounting portion 9.

By the way, when the friction member 1 is assembled to the back plate 2, in addition to the inevitable engagement gap between the engagement grooves 2a, 2b and the protrusions 1a, 1b, the friction member 1 and the back plate 2 It is desired to properly secure a gap according to the difference in thermal expansion from the No. 2 alloy. Further, a material having a high thermal conductivity is used for the friction member 1, and when the friction member 1 is brought into sliding contact with the raceway surface and rises in temperature, a thermal strain that causes plastic strain due to excessive thermal stress in the back plate 2 is generated. When adverse effects occur, it is desirable to interpose a suitable heat insulating material on the boundary surface between the friction member 1 and the back plate 2.

When the brake shoe is used for landing on a superconducting levitation vehicle, all the constituent elements must be made of non-magnetic material, and the friction member 1 has a high melting point and high wear resistance. The back plate 2 and both locking members 3 and 4 such as molybdenum, tungsten and their alloys are light in weight and titanium alloy and aluminum alloy having high specific strength, and the cushioning members 5 and 6 are carbon fiber aggregates as described above. The bolts and nuts 7 and 8 are made of stainless steel or the like.

The brake shoe having such a structure is equipped as a landing brake shoe for a high-speed linear motor car or a superconducting levitation vehicle. At the time of landing braking, the impact force and the braking friction force generated by the friction member 1 slidingly contacting the track surface made of concrete are fixed to the back plate 2 via the buffer members 5 and 6 depending on the traveling direction of the vehicle. It is supported by the intermediate locking member 4 and the end locking member 3. As a result, the impact force in the friction direction during high-speed traveling is favorably relaxed by the cushioning member 5 or the cushioning member 6, and damage such as cracking of the friction member 1 is prevented. This impact force remarkably occurs particularly when there are seam steps or irregularities on the raceway surface made of concrete or the like.

Then, the friction member 1 expands due to the frictional heat accompanying the braking, and the increase in the volume due to the expansion is caused by the elastic deformation of the porous cushioning members 5 and 6 and the gap between the engaging grooves 2a and 2b. Since the restraint of the friction member 1 and the back plate 2 due to the thermal expansion is absorbed, the plastic deformation of these and the generation of thermal cracks of the friction member 1 are reduced.

(1). Since the cushioning members are interposed at both ends of the friction member in the direction in which the braking friction force acts, the impact force acting on the friction member is mitigated, and the damage to the end portion of the friction member is favorably prevented.

(2). Due to the elastically deformable cushioning member or the gap between the friction member and the engaging groove of the back plate, the restraint due to the thermal expansion of the friction member is significantly alleviated, and the occurrence of cracks in the friction member and the friction member and the back plate. Since the plastic deformation is reduced, the friction and loss of the friction member is prevented, uneven wear due to the plastic deformation and the fluctuation of the braking friction force are suppressed, and at the same time, the reusability due to the plastic deformation of the back plate is also avoided.

(3). Since the friction member, which is a consumable item, can be replaced and the back plate can be used repeatedly, the simple structure makes it possible to maintain both durability of the friction member and use of parts according to the degree of wear. It is possible to provide an inexpensive brake shoe.

Claims: 1. Sliding friction which forms upper surfaces of the friction member by forming protrusions on both lower sides of the friction member, and engaging both protrusions of the friction member with engaging grooves formed on both sides of the back plate. The surface is projected from the back plate, and the lower ends of both ends of the friction member in the acting direction of the braking friction force are supported by the locking portions of the back plate through elastically deformable cushioning members, respectively. A brake shoe characterized in that at least one of the portions is constituted by a locking member fixed to the back plate with a detachable fastener.
