面から発生したき裂が補強枠(2)の継目(3)まで進
展しても、そのき裂直進に対しては、バンドの面圧によ
り補強枠(2)を介して伝達される抵抗が、き裂直進を
抑制し、き裂が直進しにくい。つまり、継目にすき間が
あっても、継目がノコギリ刃状で噛み合わさっているの
で、種々の方向のき裂が上記継目内まで進展しても、噛
み合わさったノコギリ刃のどれかの部分でき裂の進行が
妨げられ、上記付き合せ継目を越えて、き裂が上記ブラ
ウン管本体の後部にまで進展しにくく、爆縮と致る可能
性は低い。すなわち防爆性能が一段と向上する。
