Abstract

PURPOSE:To accurately inspect a connected condition for making judgement about the acceptance or rejection thereof by applying a specific type of a contact medium to a connected section, and irradiating the section with an ultrasonic wave for inspection via the medium from a specific direction. CONSTITUTION:A glycol 5 such as ethylene glycol is applied to the upper surface of one side of the lap connection (connection with adhesive) of two connected sheets, for example, ethylene propylene diene waterproof rubber sheets 1 and 2. Also, an ultrasonic probe 4 corresponding to the ultrasonic wave receiving section of an ultrasonic inspection device is kept in close contact with the applied contact medium 5.
