Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate regulation of the belt tension of each tension pulley from a position above an engine by a method wherein tension pulleys arranged to respective auxiliary machines are rotatably mounted on a single bracket, and the bracket is installed to a portion above an engine body. CONSTITUTION:A pulley 5 for a freezer is fixed on the rotary shaft of a compressor 2 for a freezer and a pulley 6 for a cooler on the rotary shaft of a compressor 3 for a carburetor cooler. A tension pulley 7 for a freezer and a tension pulley 8 for a cooler are provided. The pulleys are driven through a belt 9 for a freezer and a belt 10 for a cooler by means of a crank pulley 4. The tension pulleys 7 and 8 are rotatably supported to a bracket 11 fixed to a portion above an engine body 1. By mounting a belt tension regulating mechanism on the tension pulleys 7 and 8, a belt tension regulating work is easily carried out from a position above the engine without being interfered with other part.

Further, the two tension pulleys 7,
8 is arranged on one bracket 11 and in such a manner that the horizontal component forces of the belt tension acting on the bracket 11 are opposite to each other, so that the horizontal component components due to the belt tension cancel each other out. Also, no excessive force acts on the engine body 1. Also, the tension pulleys 7 and 8
The force acting on the engine can be absorbed by one bracket 11 and prevented from being transmitted to the engine side.
