By the way, in recent years, there is a tendency to use a thick and thick rope wire rope as the wire rope of the elevator because of the increase and decrease of the elevator stroke due to the increase in the height of the building. As a result, the number of elevators in which the diameter of each strand constituting the wire rope is larger than that of conventional ones is increasing. However, since such a thick strand also has a large bending resistance, it hinders the work of bending the tip of each strand by using pliers in the terminal treatment process of the wire rope. Is required, and the bending condition of each strand also varies.

In the bending work constructed as described above, an insertion tunnel and an opening groove can be formed by abutting the bottom surface of the upper die against the receiving surface of the lower die, and the pressing groove of the bending die is formed into the insertion tunnel. Since it can be placed in a position to face, the end of the strand is inserted into the insertion tunnel and then engaged in the pressing groove, and then the operator holding the lever makes the folding tunnel with the pressing groove and the opening groove. By rotating the bending die to the position where it is formed, the tip of the strand can be bent into a folded shape while being pressed while being guided by the pressing groove and stored in the folding tunnel. Can be surely bent 180 degrees. In this bending work, since the bending-type lever is provided at a position farther from the rotation fulcrum than the pressing groove, even if the force applied to the lever is not so large, the pressing groove strongly presses the tip of the strand. Therefore, it is possible to easily bend a thick strand.

As described above, when the bending work 5 is used in the terminal treatment process of the wire rope 1 and each strand 2 is bent into a predetermined shape defined by the insertion tunnel 14 and the folding tunnel 16, the tip of each strand 2 is bent. Part is sure 180
Since it is bent once, there is no fear that the bending condition will vary, and the quality can be made uniform. Further, the bending work 5 is provided at a position where the third lever 11 of the bending die 12 is farther from the rotation fulcrum (support shaft 13) than the pressing groove 12b, and the force applied to the lever 11 is not so large. Also, since the tip of the strand 2 can be strongly pressed by the pressing groove 12b, even when the strand 2 is thick, bending can be easily performed. After the bending process is completed, the upper die 9 and the bending die 12 are opened with respect to the lower die 7 so that the strand 2 can be easily removed from the bending work 5.

In the bending work used for the bending, a first concave groove is formed on the receiving surface and the concave portion is formed on the edge of the receiving surface. A lower die having a first notch extending substantially parallel to the groove, and rotatably supported so that the bottom surface moves closer to and away from the receiving surface, and abuts the first groove on the bottom surface. An upper die having a second recessed groove capable of forming a tunnel for insertion and a second notch capable of forming an open groove by abutting with the first notch at an edge portion of the bottom surface, One side of the tunnel for insertion A pressing groove that is rotatably supported to move from the open position to a position facing the open groove and that can form a folding tunnel by abutting the open groove is provided on the side surface. And a bending die having a lever provided at a position far from the rotation fulcrum, and the bending die via the lever in a state in which the tip portion of the strand inserted into the insertion tunnel is engaged in the pressing groove. A bending work for terminal treatment of a wire rope, characterized in that the tip portion is pressed while being guided by the pressing groove when the wire rope is rotated.
