Is larger than the coefficient of thermal expansion of the metallic material forming the. Moreover, the temperature difference when using the heat insulating sash is large. For example, the temperature of the lower horizontal frame material of the outdoor frame is about 80 ° C. under the direct sunlight around the daytime in the Tokyo area in the summer (about the left and right sides and the upper side of the outdoor frame under the same use condition). The temperature of the frame material is about 50 ° C, and the temperature of each frame material on the top, bottom, left and right of the indoor frame is about 25 ° C. Is about −5 ° C. to 0 ° C., and the temperature of each frame member on the upper, lower, left and right sides of the indoor frame is 15 ° C. to 20 ° C. As can be seen from this example, the temperature difference of the lower horizontal frame member is particularly large.

It may be difficult to screw the cover to the frame material of the indoor frame at multiple points due to the expansion and contraction of the cover, and if the cover is stretched, part of the cover will rise if it is stretched. Damage the appearance,
Further, there is a problem in that the cover is expanded and contracted during use, so that the load is concentrated on the screwed portion and the cover is easily damaged at an early stage.

A lower body including an indoor frame and an outdoor frame that are connected via upper, lower, left, and right interposers made of a heat insulating material, the lower horizontal frame members of the indoor frame and the outdoor frame, and a lower interposer that connects them. The cover is provided on the surface of the side lateral frame so as to cover at least the interposer of the lower lateral frame, and the cover is formed of a low thermal conductive material having a thermal expansion coefficient larger than that of the lower lateral frame member. ,
At least one end of both ends in the longitudinal direction of the cover is a free end displaceable in the longitudinal direction of the lower lateral frame,
A part of the cover is fixed to the lower horizontal frame or a vertical frame connected to the lower horizontal frame.

Since this cover is a low heat conductive material, it does not serve as a heat conduction path between the indoor frame and the outdoor frame.

As a result, even if the cover extends to the maximum extent, the dimension thereof is longer than the length of the portion of the lower lateral frame facing the fitting frame opening, and there is no difficulty in attaching the cover to the lower lateral frame. At the same time, unlike the case where at least both ends of the cover are fixed, by fixing only a part of the cover, the cover can be contracted after assembling the fitting frame, and moreover, the expansion and contraction of the cover as described above can be prevented. At this time, a load is not significantly applied to the fixed portion of the cover.
