However, when the paper sheets pass between the roller surfaces, for example, in the case of old circulating banknotes whose flexural resistance is significantly reduced or banknotes having a crease or a deformed portion, the skew or the paper jam may occur. If the paper jam occurs, the equipment will go down and the processing capacity will decrease. In this case, a staff member will need to remove the jammed paper sheets, which will require unattended operation. It was a problem in terms of operation.

Normally, the banknotes 11 stored in the storage section 12 are in a state in which the banknotes 11 located on the front surface of the banknotes 11 are urged and opposed to the auxiliary roller 16 and the feeding roller 17, and are required in the first step 71. Of the auxiliary roller 16 and the feeding roller based on the feeding signal of
When 17 is driven to rotate synchronously, the bills 11 that have been fed by the rollers 16 and 17 are fed in the feeding direction, and the feeding roller 17 and the friction roller 20 arranged at the feeding portion are controlled to feed one sheet. It is passed through between the parts and delivered. At this time, in the second step 72, when the paper jam detection sensor S detects the bills to be fed out, the feeding timer is started, and in the third step 73, the bills 11 pass through both rollers 17 and 20 and the paper is fed. When the jam detection sensor S is turned off, it is determined that the normal feeding is performed, and the next bill 11 is fed. However, in this case, when the paper jam detection sensor S continues to detect the paper jam banknote 11a and the feeding timer times out in the fourth step 74, it is determined that a paper jam has occurred at this feeding portion, and Perform the paper jam removal process. First, in the fifth step 75, the rotation of the auxiliary roller drive motor M2 is stopped so that the next stored bill will not be fed out during this paper jam removal processing. Then, in the sixth step 76, the friction roller 20 is rotationally driven in the feeding direction in the seventh step 77 while the rotational driving of the feeding roller 17 is maintained. As a result, the jammed paper money 11a will
The discharge processing is performed by performing the forced feeding operation by sandwiching and feeding between 7,20. At this time, in the eighth step 78, the discharge timer for the paper jam banknote 11a is started, and in the ninth step 79, the paper jam detection sensor S detects
Detect and confirm the feeding of 11a. Then, in the tenth step 80, if it is not detected and the time is over,
Although it is determined that automatic removal is not possible, the apparatus is shut down, but in the eleventh step 81, if it is detected and confirmed that the jammed paper money 11a has been fed, it is determined that the paper jam in the feeding portion has been eliminated, and the twelfth In step 82, return the paper jam banknote to a predetermined position,
Alternatively, the paper jam banknotes 11
The automatic removal process for a is completed, and feeding of the next bill is newly started.

As described above, since the paper jam can be eliminated by having the automatic recovery ability to automatically remove the paper jammed paper money inside the device,
Even if paper money is jammed, it can be immediately removed and maintained in operation, eliminating the need for labor-intensive staff work as in the current situation, thus improving the delivery performance and delivery reliability. The operating rate can be improved, which is especially effective for unmanned operation.
