Among the above-mentioned conventional insect repellent means, the method of directly spraying the ○ 1 insecticide to the pests is to kill the insects by contaminating the surrounding food or tableware or contacting the human body. There is a risk and there is a problem in terms of safety. The method of spraying or applying the repellent or insect repellent on the whole surface of ○ 2 is not economical because it requires a large amount of the drug, and the effect is not sufficient even if the resin contains the components. Further, the method using the ◯ 3 adhesive is filthy from the outside, because the captured pests are still attached to the pests, and they are also contaminated with dust or the like. ○ 4 The method of preventing invasion of pests by energizing not only requires wiring work and labor, but also it is difficult to take measures against power failure, and there is also concern about safety due to the possibility of electric leakage, short circuit, etc. There is.

[Means for Solving the Problems] In the past, when aiming at insect repellent, in general, the opportunity for contact between the drug and the insect pest has been provided in order to exert the effect by allowing the insect pest to properly absorb the components of the insecticide or insect repellent. The method of making as many as possible was adopted. Specifically, the drug has been applied to the entire surface of the pest passage and the action area without any gaps, and the pests have been arranged so that as many drug components as possible can be taken into the body at the place where the pest walks.

However, the inventors of the present invention have paid attention to the fact that it is basically necessary to change the way of thinking in order to avoid pests, and as a result of diligent research, a place where pests cannot enter or approach is problematic. Further, by arranging pest repellent components at intervals in and around the present invention, the inventors have invented a method and a pest repellent material capable of maintaining the pest repellent effect for a long period of time even with a small amount of a drug.

[Action] In order to prevent the pests from approaching the target, it is sufficient that the repellent component is present at a concentration higher than the threshold value that causes the repellent reaction to the pests, and it is not necessary to incorporate it into the pests like an insecticide. Absent. In the present invention, since the pest repellent component is not widely and thinly applied over the entire range of action of the pest as in the past, it is dispersed and arranged at intervals equal to or less than the average body length of the pest, so that it is more economically effective than conventional. You can improve your sex. That is, by providing a region where the repellent component does not exist, even if the concentration per unit area is the same, it is possible to increase the concentration at the location where the repellent component exists. Thus, it is possible to reliably prevent the pests from approaching for a long period of time.

The interval at which the pest repellent components are dispersed and arranged is set to be equal to or less than the average body length of the pests to be repelled. For example, when targeting cockroaches, two representative types are German cockroaches and black cockroaches. In the former German cockroach, the average body length of adults is about 13 mm, and in the latter black cockroach, it is about 27 mm, so both are targeted. Then, the arrangement interval of the pest repellent component is set to 13 mm or less. However, if only the black cockroach is targeted, the average body length of the adult is about 50 mm including the tactile sense, and therefore the arrangement interval of the pest repellent component may be set to about 50 mm. When the first-instar larva of the cockroach is also included in the repellent target, its body length is about 5 mm, and thus the interval of placement of the repellent component may be shorter than that. However, it is desirable to set the interval to at least 2 mm or more for the purpose of increasing the component concentration. As a matter of course, these arrangement intervals may be appropriately selected according to the kind of the pest to be repelled.

Hereinafter, test examples conducted according to the present invention will be described. (Test Example 1) An interior decorative plywood having a surface size of 150 × 150 mm was prepared, and each pest repellent component listed in Table 1 was applied to the surface so that the applied amount per unit area (g / m 2 ) became equal. A coating applied according to the method of the present invention, a coating applied to the entire surface as a conventional example, and an untreated coating as a control are prepared. The application mode of the repellent component based on the method of the present invention is shown in FIG. (A) to (G) of FIG.
Correspond to trial numbers 1a to 7a in Table 1, respectively. Further, in each drawing, 1 represents a repellent component. When applying the pest repellent component, appropriate treatment such as dilution was applied according to the properties of the drug.

As can be seen from the data in Table 1, the test pieces subjected to the method of the present invention show a remarkably higher repellency than the test pieces of the conventional example applied to the entire surface. Moreover, one day after application, the superiority and inferiority of the repellent effect appeared between the present invention and the conventional example, and in particular, the persistence of the effect was confirmed by comparing the repellent rates after 3 months and 6 months. It is understood that the invention is far superior.

As is clear from Table 2, those in which the arrangement interval of the repellent components was set to be equal to or less than the average body length (50 mm) of the adult black cockroach exhibited an excellent repellent rate, and the arrangement interval of the repellent components was determined from the average body length. Those with a large setting have a very poor repellent rate. From this, in order to obtain an excellent repellent effect, it is necessary to set the arrangement interval of the repellent component to be equal to or less than the average body length of the target pest, and when set in such a manner, compared to the conventional case, It turns out that it exerts an excellent effect.

As is clear from the above description, according to the present invention, even if the repellent component is used in the same amount per unit area, it is possible to disperse the repellent component in comparison with the conventional whole surface coating. In addition, it is possible to obtain a remarkably excellent repellent effect, and the sustainability of the effect is far better than in the past. That is, the present invention brings about an unexpected and remarkable improvement in the repellent effect by changing the arrangement mode of the repellent component.
