Abstract

PURPOSE:To place a caster of different size in the same receiving pan, so that the caster is prevented from shaking, by providing a protruded part in almost the center of the receiving pan for the caster and further grooves of crossing crosswise. CONSTITUTION:A receiving pan 1 for a caster 10 is provided with grooves 3 for placing a roller of the caster 10, and a protruded part 4 is provided in almost the center of the receiving pan, to form the grooves 3 into a shape of crossing crosswise. By providing the grooves 3, the caster 10 is prevented from shaking in a direction (advancing direction of caster) vertical to a roller shaft of the caster 10, and by providing the protruded part 4, the caster is prevented from shaking in a direction of the roller shaft. Thus even when the size of the caster changes, the position of the roller on the groove is only different, and the caster can be prevented from shaking by the same sized receiving pan regardless of the size of the caster.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention The present invention relates to a saucer for casters used in chairs, audio equipment and the like.

2. Description of the Related Art Casters used in chairs, audio equipment, etc. are generally composed of rollers (wheels) and a frame for supporting their shafts (roller shafts). A twin-wheel caster having one roller is widely used because it has a characteristic that each roller rotates independently at the time of turning, thereby enabling smooth turning. When placing an audio device or the like with such a caster mounted on a carpet or the like, a saucer may be placed under the caster so that the carpet or the like is not marked by weight.
Conventionally, as such a saucer, as shown in FIG. 4, a saucer having a recess 5 formed in a circular center portion and having a higher circumference has been used. A caster roller is inserted in the recess 5 of the tray. The diameter of the recess will then be chosen to just fit the roller. This is because if the diameter of the recess is smaller than this, the caster will not fit in the pan, and if it is larger than this, the caster will wobble back and forth, left and right when the caster is stored.

[Claims] 1. A tray for a caster, characterized in that a groove (3) for placing a roller of the caster is provided. 2. The saucer of a caster according to claim 1, wherein a projection (4) is provided substantially at the center of the saucer. 3. The caster tray according to claim 1, wherein the groove (3) has a cross shape.
