る長さ演算手段M2と、上記演算された渡り糸長さのう
ち、最短となる渡り糸に係る縫い始め点を有する一個の
模様データを上記先行する模様の次の模様として選択す
る選択手段M3と、を備えることを特徴とする刺繍ミシン
にある。

の観点から、渡り糸最短の模様データを選択したい。図
示の如く、この例では渡り糸L2が最も短く、模様データ
Db2を選択する。尚、図から明らかな如く、通常、渡り
糸最短のものは中間縫い込みを生じないことから模様デ
ータDb1〜Db4の内、渡り糸L1〜L4の最短のものを選択す
ることは、渡り糸の節約と共に中間縫い込みを防止し、
縫製後の渡り糸処理作業を簡略化できる。本実施例にお
いては前述の如く、縫い始め点Psa1〜Psa4,Psb1〜Psb4
が上下左右のいずれかにくる様に各4つの模様データDa
1〜Da4,Db1〜Db4を記憶手段7に格納し、これらの内か
ら、以下第5図に基づいて説明する如き制御処理を実行
することにより渡り糸の節約を実現すると共に、渡り糸
の中間縫込み防止をも可能にする。以下、制御処理を説
明する。

は選択した模様に対応する模様データを記憶装置7から
読込む。例えば、模様A,BがA→Bの順に縦配列される
場合は、まず、模様データDa1〜Da4を読込む。次に、S5
では、先行する模様の有無を判断する。先行する模様が
無い場合、即ち、最初の模様については、S6へ進み格納
順最先の模様データDa1を選択し、S9にて次の模様の有
無を判断する。次の模様Bが有ることからS4へ戻り、模
様データDb1〜Db4を読み込む。今度はS5は肯定判断とな
りS7へ進む。S7では各模様データDb1〜Db4について渡り
糸L1〜L4の長さを演算し、S8にて第4図(ロ)の如く渡
り糸最短となる模様データDb2を選択する。以下、S9に
て次の模様が無いと判断されると、S10へ進み、上記選
択された模様データDa1,Da2に基づき、第4図(ロ)の
如く模様A,Bを加工布2上へ縫製する。

第6図に示す如く、模様データDb11〜Db14として、模様
B周囲の所定位置に中継点Pm1〜Pm4を持つものとし、渡
り糸長さとして縫い終り点Pea1→中継点Pm1〜Pm4→縫い
始め点Psb1〜Psb4の経路長さが最短となるものを選択す
ることとしてもよい。この場合は、中継点Pm1〜Pm4を、
渡り糸中間縫込みの生じない様に予じめ設定でき、中間
縫込みについては全く心配ない。さらに、実施例におい
て、渡り糸処理の際の入鋏作業に必要な長さを常に確保
できる様に、S8にて所定長さ以上でかつ最短のものを選
択することとすると尚よい。また、中継点Pm1〜Pm4は常
に上記所定長さが確保できる様なデータとして与えてお
いてもよい。

でもデータ作成作業の快適化に効果がある。
