By using the signal for dubbing, deterioration of the quality of the reproduced image due to dubbing is prevented.

(Recording / playback system) (12) The reproduced video data from the D-VTR (12) is supplied to a digital signal processing device (processor) (13). (14) is a digital control signal generator, which has various adjusters such as image gain, saturation gain, hue, set-up (pedestal), and image phase,
Digital control signals (control data) corresponding to the states of these regulators are supplied from a generator (14) to a processor (13). In the processor (13), arithmetic processing of video data is performed according to these control data.
The video data processed by the processor (13) is supplied to the slave recording / reproducing device (slave device) (2) through the dubbing output terminal (15) and is not shown in the figure.
It is converted into an analog video signal by the converter and is supplied to the monitor M through the monitor terminal (16) to confirm the processing result.

For this reason, as described above, when dubbing is repeated while the signal processing is performed by the processor on the reproducing side, calculation errors are accumulated, and for example, waveform distortion occurs in the case of gain adjustment and reproduced image in the case of video phase adjustment. However, there is a problem that the quality of the reproduced image deteriorates, such that either the left end or the right end of the image is deleted.
