Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent a nozzle from being blocked by a method wherein a main pipe having a nozzle on its apex is connected with a branch pipe for a substitution fluid and when ejection of the aimed fluid is stopped, ejection is switched to ejection of the substitution fluid and during ejection of the aimed fluid is stopped, ejection of the substitution fluid is continued. CONSTITUTION:A branch pipe 5 is connected with a main pipe 1 connecting a nozzle 3 with a tank 2 through a pump 1 between the pump 1 and the nozzle 3. A solenoid valve 8 is mounted between the branch pipe 5 and the pump 1 and a relief valve 15 is connected therewith. In addition, branched pipes 6 and 7 are connected with the branch pipe 5 through a check valve 9 and are connected with feeding sources of water and steam through electromagnetic valves 13 and 14 and check valves 11 and 12. When the solenoid valve 8 is made ON and the solenoid valves 13 and 14 are made OFF, an aimed fluid is ejected. When ejection of the aimed fluid is stopped, the solenoid valve 8 is off and either of the solenoid valves 13 and 14 is made ON to feed water or steam to the nozzle 3 to clean the nozzle 3.

2. Description of the Related Art A nozzle is generally used for jetting and spraying a fluid at a high speed, but depending on the working environment, for example, in a dust atmosphere, when the jetting is completed, dust adheres to the nozzle to cause nozzle clogging. is there. Nozzle clogging may also occur after the injection is completed in a high temperature environment or due to the properties of a viscous fluid, such as when supplying a rolling lubricating liquid consisting of a viscous aqueous solution to the roll to prevent seizure of the roll in the hot rolling process. It also tends to occur due to solidification of the fluid.

Increasing the diameter of the nozzle so as not to cause nozzle clogging reduces the jetting speed and requires bringing the nozzle closer to the object, which also reduces the jetting area. In addition to requiring a large number of nozzles, there are problems such as an increase in the injection amount per unit area. There is no room in the work space for nozzle replacement,
Further, it is not easy to perform the replacement work under the bad working environment, and the injection must be stopped during that time.

In order to achieve the above object, the present invention is designed to inject an alternative fluid consisting of an inert gas such as water, air, steam or nitrogen after the end of injection. That is, the nozzle blockage prevention method of the present invention is provided with a nozzle at the tip, and a branch pipe for passing an alternative fluid is connected to a main pipe for passing a target fluid, and when the injection of the target fluid is stopped, switching to the alternative fluid is performed. It is characterized in that the alternative fluid is jetted after the jetting of the target fluid is stopped.

In the apparatus constructed as described above, with the solenoid valve 8 turned on and the solenoid valves 13 and 14 turned off, the rolling lubricating liquid pumped by the pump 1 has a nozzle diameter of 0.5. It is ejected from each elliptic nozzle 3 having a diameter of ~ 1.5 mm and a minor axis of 0.2-0.6 mm, but the solenoid valve 8 is turned on.
When FF is set and the injection of the rolling lubricating liquid is completed, either one of the solenoid valves 13 or 14 is turned on, and water or steam is injected from each nozzle 3.
