In particular, when the conveyed product has an adhesive property, it tends to adhere. When the adhered matter adheres in this manner, the operation of the conveyor belt becomes unstable. Further, since the adhering matter is conveyed without being discharged from the conveyor belt, energy for driving the conveyor belt is required accordingly, resulting in a large energy loss. Therefore, a belt cleaner has been conventionally used. As a belt cleaner, as disclosed in Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 57-51219, a cleaning body for cleaning the adhered matter adhered to the conveyor belt by pressing the tip end against the conveyor belt, and an upper end part at the lower end of the cleaning body. It is known that an elastic holding body made of rubber that holds a portion thereof swingably, and a base body having a pair of opposing wall portions that sandwich a lower end portion of the elastic holding body.

The elastic holder 2 is positioned below the upper end portion 42e of the 42a, and is compressed in a direction in which the distance between the pair of opposed walls 42a is narrowed.
And the cleaning body 1 are pre-compressed in the direction of arrow A. Further, when the tip 11 of the cleaning body 1 is pressed against the surface 5a of the conveyor belt 5, the cleaning body 1 is pushed in a direction away from the conveyor belt 5, and the inverted V-shaped elastic holder 2 is also cleaned with the opposing wall portion 42a. It is forcibly pushed into and out of the body 1 and a second stage compression of the elastic holder 2 in the direction of arrow A is obtained. Therefore, the degree of compression of the elastic holder 2 is increased, which is advantageous for improving the life and durability of the elastic holder 2,
The force of the elastic holder 2 that presses the chips 11 of the cleaning body 1 against the conveyor belt 5 can be maintained in a good state, and the cleaning effect of the belt cleaner can be maintained well for a long period of time.

The tip 11 swings in the driving direction of the conveyor belt 5 with the portion P of the elastic holder 2 as a fulcrum. At this time, due to the swinging of the cleaning body 1, a stress F1 in the compression direction acts on the upper surface 20 of the elastic holding body 2 on the conveying direction side of the conveyor belt 5, that is, on the front side, and on the lower surface 21 of the elastic holding body on the front side. Has a stress F2 in the tensile direction. Further, as can be understood from FIG. 4, a stress F3 in the compression direction acts on the lower surface 21 of the elastic holding body 2 on the rear side, and a stress F4 in the tensile direction on the upper surface 20 of the elastic holding body 2 on the rear side. Works. Therefore, when the elastic holder 2 is not pre-compressed, the elastic holder 2 is repeatedly used for a long period of time due to repeated stress in the tensile direction.
May become fatigued, the elastic holder 2 may be permanently deformed, and may remain inclined in the traveling direction of the conveyor belt 5 as shown in FIG. 4, the restoring force may be lost, and the cleaning body 1 may not return to the vertical direction. is there. In this case, the force of pressing the chips 11 of the cleaning body 1 against the conveyor belt 5 is reduced, and the cleaning effect of the belt cleaner may be reduced.

Is pre-compressed in the direction, and by pressing the chip 11 against the conveyor belt 5, the elastic holding portion 2
The degree of compression is even higher. Therefore, the elastic retainer 2 is less likely to fatigue, and in particular, the portion 25 where the stress F2 in the tensile direction acts is less prone to fatigue because the elastic retainer 2 is in a compressed state, and therefore permanent strain is less likely to occur, and thus elastic The life and durability of the holder 2 can be improved. Therefore, a good cleaning effect of the belt cleaner can be secured for a long period of time.

It is vulcanized and bonded to a and the central portion of the cleaning body 1. Here, if the stress in the tensile direction generated in the elastic holding body 2 when the cleaning body 1 swings is large, the vulcanized adhesive portion may peel off due to the stress. In this respect, in this embodiment, as described above, the elastic retainer 2 has a high degree of compression in the direction of arrow A, and the vulcanized adhesive portion is compressed in the direction of arrow A.
It is also advantageous to avoid peeling of the vulcanized adhesive part. Moreover, it is also advantageous to avoid peeling of the vulcanized adhesive portion in that the stress in the tensile direction generated in the elastic holder 2 due to the swing of the cleaning body 1 can be relaxed.

The portion is located at a position lower than the upper end portion of the facing wall portion. Therefore, the elastic holding body is pre-compressed between the opposing wall portion and the cleaning body. Further, in the belt cleaner of the present invention, when the tip of the cleaning body is pressed against the surface of the conveyor belt, the cleaning body is pushed in the direction away from the conveyor belt, and the inverted V-shaped elastic holder also cleans the opposing wall portion. It is pressed into and out of the body, increasing the degree of compression of the elastic holder.
