Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a recording fluid which can give a recording image having a high density and improved water resistance, light resistance and long-term storage stability by mixing an aqueous medium with a specified dye. CONSTITUTION:0.5-5wt.% dye of the formula (wherein B is (substituted)phenylene or naphthylene substituted with SO3M; (l) and (p) are each 1-3;(n) and (r) are each 0 or 1: and M is an alkali metal, NH4 or an organic amine salt group) and optionally 0.1-10wt.% compound selected from among thiourea, biuret, semicarbazide and urea and 0.001-5.0wt.% surfactant are dissolved in an aqueous medium comprising 45-89.5wt.% water and 10-50wt.% water-soluble organic solvent to obtain the objective recording fluid.

2. Description of the Related Art A so-called ink jet recording method has been put into practical use in which a recording liquid droplet containing a water-soluble dye such as a direct dye or an acid dye is ejected from a minute ejection orifice to perform recording. Regarding this recording liquid, PP such as electrophotographic paper is used.
Fast fixing to general-purpose office paper such as C (Plain Vapor Copier) paper, fan-hold paper (continuous paper for computers), and good print quality, that is, bleeding It is required to have a clear outline and to have excellent stability during storage as a recording liquid.
Therefore, the solvent that can be used is extremely limited.
