周部に螺子孔を設け、前記コ字状金具14に回動自由に
支えらて前記セット筒体15の螺子孔に螺合されるセッ
ト用の螺子軸16を回動用の操作杆17で操作できるよ
うに構成し、この螺子軸16の回転によってセット筒体
15を金具14側へ引き寄せることで該上下の筒体13
を支軸に固定できるように構成している。そして、この
ように構成された前記上下の筒体13a,13bにパイ
プでU字状に形成された補助手摺12の上下端部を固着
している。したがって、この補助手摺12は、支軸6の
回りに上下調節、及び回動調節できて該支軸6に固着で
きるように構成されている。上例の構成によると、手摺
4を第3図の実線で示したベッド1の側面に沿う状態に
セットしておくと、この手摺4及び補助手摺12が共に
ベッド上に寝ている障害者の不測な落下を防止でき、ベ
ッド側壁手摺の役目になる。この状態から、レバー9で
支軸6のセットを解き、該支軸6を回動させて第3図の
仮想線で示した手摺4がベッド側枠2に直交する状態に
回動させて再びレバー9でセットする。このとき、補助
手摺12も共に回動してベッド1の内側に回動するが、
操作杆17を操作してセット用の螺子軸16を回動さ
せ、該補助手摺12のセットを解いて元のベッド1の側
面に沿った状態に戻して再びセットすれば、第1図で示
した状態になる。この第1図のセット状態が、障害者の
歩行訓練用の姿勢である。即ち、この第1図で示した手
摺4のようにセットすれば、この手摺4に障害者が掴ま
ってベッド1から床面に降り立ち、このベッド1の側で
手摺4に掴まった状態で歩行訓練をすることができる。
そして、この歩行訓練用の第1図の姿勢に手摺4をセッ
トさせたままで放置しておいてもベッド1の側面に補助
手摺12がそのままセットされたままに保持されるか
ら、ベッド上で寝ていても、この補助手摺12で障害者
