Liquid halogen is widely used in various fields in the chemical industry. The liquid halogen is received and discharged by high-pressure pipes that have corrosion resistance to halogen, but when the fixed pipe cannot receive and discharge, a pressure resistant flexible hose made of Teflon is usually used as a joint. .

A small amount of halogen gas penetrates into Teflon and diffuses to the outside. The diffused halogen dissolves in condensed water to form a hydrogen halide compound, which corrodes the stainless wire mesh covering the hose. As a result, the durability of the hose is short, the hose needs to be replaced every two months, and the hose is expensive, which is an economical problem.

The inventors of the present invention, as a result of earnest studies on solving the problem, have proposed that the outer side of a pressure-resistant flexible hose is further covered with a hose to form a double pipe, and the dehumidified gas is fed into the double pipe portion. The inventors have found that it is possible to prevent the formation of hydrogen halide compounds due to the permeated halogen and water, and prolong the durability of the pressure-resistant hose, and completed the present invention.

The flexible hose can be attached to the pressure-resistant flexible hose as a double pipe by cutting the flexible hose vertically, attaching the flexible hose to the pressure-resistant flexible hose, and then winding and reinforcing the entire surface with a transparent tape. Further, it may be fitted in advance when the pressure-resistant hose is manufactured.

At one end of the flexible hose, a moisture-reducing body feed hole (12) is provided, and at the other end, a gas discharge hole (13) thereof is provided. The inlet hole and the outlet hole may be tubes.

The flexible hose on the outside of the double pipe should be installed in close contact with the flange surfaces, centering on the flange surfaces at both ends. The degree of close contact may be such that the gas to be introduced flows out from the discharge hole, and it is not necessary to withstand the pressure. Further, the center of the flange surface may be adjusted by an appropriate method such as winding an appropriate ring-shaped metal fitting or tape around both ends of the pressure resistant flexible hose.

When receiving and delivering liquid halogen, the halogen and inert dehumidified gas are continuously fed through the feeding hole (12) on the outer flexible hose, and a small amount of halogen that has permeated from the Teflon hose. Is discharged out of the pipe. The halogen and the inert gas are preferably air and nitrogen.

If water is present in the halogen and the inert gas, the halogen that permeates the Teflon hose reacts with the water to form a hydrogen halide compound, which corrodes the stainless steel mesh for reinforcement on the outside of the flexible hose, Since the durability is shortened, it is necessary to reduce the water content as much as possible.

In a conventional pressure-resistant Teflon flexible hose, halogen that permeates Teflon and moisture in the air condense and adhere to the surface of the coated metal wire mesh to generate a hydrogen halide compound. Although it eroded and had a short durability, the double pipe hose of the present invention can prevent the formation of hydrogen halide compounds by passing a dehumidifying body outside, and the durability of the hose is about one year or more. It can be made long and is extremely valuable in practical use.
