33を透過して液晶パネル34からなるライトバルブに
照射される。ライトバルブの光学像を光源光で照射し、
投写レンズ36により光学像が拡大され透過型または反
射型のスクリーン37の面上に結像される。次に、一般
的な液晶パネルの構成図を図4に示す。液晶パネル34
は、透明導電膜が塗布された2枚の板ガラスの間にネマ
