Another problem is that since the conventional adhesive tape has a poor base material, the surface adhesive layer of the paper adhesive tape has a thickness of about 30 μm, and the cloth adhesive tape has a thickness of 70 μm. , The adhesion to rough surfaces was improved. However, when the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer as the surface layer is formed thick as described above, the pressure-sensitive adhesive is extruded to the side surface of the pressure-sensitive adhesive tape wound in a roll shape and subjected to the winding pressure, and the state becomes a so-called side stick, which is difficult to handle.

In order for the pressure-sensitive adhesive tape to easily fit to the curved adherend surface, the flexibility and proper elongation of the substrate are required. In the present invention, a non-woven fabric having a basis weight of 5 to 50 g / m 2 or a non-woven fabric produced by the spunbond method and heated and compressed is used in order to give the substrate sufficient flexibility. The diameter of the yarns constituting the non-woven fabric is preferably about 1.5-5 μm.

In order to adjust various elongations in this way, one or more of the following means can be adopted. Selection of fiber aspect ratio: The closer the aspect ratio is to 1: 1, the greater the elongation. The non-woven fabric is heat-compressed; For example, the elongation is reduced by passing it through a hot roll of about 200 to 300 ° C. and heat-compressing it at a roll pressure of 6 to 10 kg / cm.

Impregnation of a non-woven fabric with a resin: Polyvinyl alcohol, vinyl acetate, an acrylic resin, or any of these, to which a curable resin such as an epoxy resin is added, is impregnated into the non-woven fabric to adjust the elongation to a smaller value. be able to. The resin itself impregnated into the nonwoven fabric binds the fibers and the intersections of the fibers to adjust the elongation, and the presence of the impregnated resin can suppress the amount of the pressure-sensitive adhesive impregnated. The non-woven fabric is impregnated with the adhesive at a constant rate; the greater the impregnation amount, the smaller the elongation of the non-woven fabric. Use together with the above.

Of these, the method (1) is the simplest and most practical. In this case, the entire surface of the non-woven fabric may be uniformly heated and compressed, but the heating and compression area can be freely changed by, for example, making the heating and compression part into a number of dots, stripes, etc., and thereby adjusting the elongation. You can By heating and compressing the non-woven fabric, the thickness of the base material can be reduced to obtain a thin adhesive tape.

The lower the ratio of the heated and compressed area to the area of the non-woven fabric, the more flexible the substrate is, but the greater the elongation. Therefore, the heat compression area needs to be at least 15% or more, preferably 20% or more. The heating and compression area of the non-woven fabric is for architectural coating,

Further, it is necessary to have a hand-cutting property that can be easily shredded with a finger at the time of use. Hand tearability is affected by fiber basis weight and fiber alignment. The higher the basis weight of the fiber, the worse the hand-cutting property. Therefore, in order to obtain good hand-cutting property, the basis weight is preferably about 15 g / m 2 or less.

The fibers of the non-woven fabric are not aligned in a constant direction in both the longitudinal direction and the transverse direction, but are formed into a web by arranging the fibers in any direction. The ratio of the fiber portion accumulated with the fiber portion and the amount of the fiber portion accumulated in the width direction of the web, that is, in the lateral direction is referred to as the fiber aspect ratio.

The closer the fiber aspect ratio is to 1: 1, the more flexible it is and the better the hand-cutting property, but it is difficult to use because it stretches when sticking an adhesive tape or rewinding. However, as the aspect ratio of the aspect ratio becomes larger, the hand-cutting property becomes worse and the flexibility becomes poor. Therefore, the aspect ratio is preferably in the range of 8: 1 to 1: 1. When the ratio of lengths is large, it is preferable to provide perforations at appropriate intervals in the width direction of the adhesive tape in order to compensate for the hand-cutting property.

For example, the adhesive tape for architectural coating and packing can select the fiber length / width ratio in the range of 8: 1 to 1: 1. Perforations are provided for those having a ratio close to 8: 1. There is a need. For vehicle coating and sealing, the aspect ratio of the fiber is set in the range of 6: 1 to 3: 1 in order to suppress elongation, but the basis weight of the fiber is small to compensate for hand-cutting. Stuff used. For electrical insulation, it can be used with a ratio close to 1: 1.

The sealing layer can prevent the pressure-sensitive adhesive applied to the other surface of the base material from penetrating into the base material and permeating to the opposite surface. Further, the sealing layer can be wound in a roll shape during the production of the adhesive tape, or can be prevented from overextending when used, and can prevent the meandering of the adhesive tape when it is applied in a straight line and can be applied straight.

Regarding the thermoplastic resin of the above-mentioned filling layer, a film-shaped one is dry-laminated, and a curl (curl) may occur due to a difference in tension during lamination,
Since peeling is likely to occur due to poor adhesion, it is preferable to use an extrusion laminating method in which these resins are extruded and laminated in a molten state because the lamination strength is high and curling does not occur. Since the hand-cutting property is deteriorated by providing the sealing layer, it is preferable that the perforation for imparting the hand-cutting property is provided after laminating the sealing layer. A release agent is applied to the filling layer, if necessary.

As the pressure-sensitive adhesive of the pressure-sensitive adhesive tape of the present invention, conventionally known ones such as natural rubber, synthetic rubber rubber-based pressure-sensitive adhesive and acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive can be used. Further, these pressure-sensitive adhesives can be used in either solvent type or emulsion type. In order to enhance the anchor effect of the pressure-sensitive adhesive and to impregnate a part of the pressure-sensitive adhesive into the base material for the purpose of adjusting the elongation of the base material, it is preferable to use a roll coater such as a reverse roll or a two-roll coating method.

The coating thickness of the adhesive is 50 to 50 after drying.
In addition, the thickness of the portion to be impregnated into the substrate should be more than half of the coating thickness,
It is preferably -80%. When the pressure-sensitive adhesive impregnated in the base material is dried, it binds to the fibers and the intersections of the fibers to suppress the elongation of the base material. Further, since the volume shrinks as the solvent evaporates, the pressure-sensitive adhesive tape is further thinned.

If the thickness of the pressure-sensitive adhesive with which the base material is impregnated is not more than half of the coating thickness, the above-mentioned effect is small. By increasing the ratio of the pressure-sensitive adhesive with which the base material is impregnated in this way, elongation can be suppressed and adjusted. Further, by impregnating the base material, the thickness of the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer on the surface of the base material becomes thin, whereby generation of side sticks can be suppressed, which is more desirable.

The adhesive tape of the present invention has a basis weight of 5 to 50 g.
/ M 2 non-woven fabric, or the non-woven fabric produced by the spunbond method and heated and compressed is used as the base material, so that it is highly flexible, and even if the adherend is a curved surface, the adhesive tape and the adherend There is no gap between them and wrinkles.
Since the pressure-sensitive adhesive tape is thin, it is not necessary to apply the pressure-sensitive adhesive thickly as in the conventional case, and it is possible to obtain a long-winding pressure-sensitive adhesive tape. Also, since the sealing layer is laminated on one side, it can be applied straight without sticking when applied in a straight line, and can be applied to both curved and linear adherends. It is particularly preferably used as a masking material for painting or vehicle painting, a sealing material, an electric insulating tape, and a packaging material. Further, since the base material is impregnated with more than half of the thickness of the pressure-sensitive adhesive applied to the base material surface, the elongation and the hand tearability are adjusted while maintaining the required flexibility of the base material. Further, the thickness of the nonwoven fabric is further reduced due to the shrinkage of the impregnated pressure-sensitive adhesive due to drying, and it can be applied to various uses.
Furthermore, since the thickness of the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer on the surface becomes thin, side sticks do not occur even when wound in a roll. As a result of the above, the pressure-sensitive adhesive tape of the present invention has a performance higher than that of the conventional product, but the total thickness of the pressure-sensitive adhesive tape can be made thinner than that of the conventional product, so that the winding length is increased even if the winding diameter is the same as that of the conventional product. be able to. According to the method for producing an adhesive tape of the present invention, since the nonwoven fabric is heated and pressed, the elongation of the base material is small,
In addition, it can be made thin, and since the sealing layer is laminated thereon by extrusion laminating, a base material having a large lamination strength between the sealing layer and the nonwoven fabric and having no curl can be obtained. Furthermore,
Since the substrate is impregnated with more than half of the thickness of the applied pressure-sensitive adhesive, the pressure-sensitive adhesive tape having low elongation, good tearability by hand, and thin thickness can be obtained.
