【考案の詳細な説明】 (技術分野) 本考案は電子写真複写装置等の加熱定着装置に関し、さ
らには該定着装置の定着ローラ表面のクリーニングと離
型剤の塗布に関する。

(従来技術) 加熱定着装置の加熱定着ローラは定着時のトナーオフセ
ツトによりその表面が汚れ、これをクリーニングする手
段が必要なことさらに複写紙およびトナーの定着ローラ
表面からの剥離性を向上させる目的で離型剤の塗布を必
要とすることなどから従来より不織布等を用いたウエブ
によるクリーニングおよび離型剤塗布が行われてきた、
ここに離型剤のウエブからの流出、およびローラ表面か
らの流動等を防止するために離型剤の粘性を高めること
が一般的であった。しかしながら離型剤の粘性を高める
ことは剥離性能を低下させることになる。また定着ロー
ラからの複写紙の剥離性をさらに向上もしくはジヤム紙
等の定着ローラへの巻付きを防止する目的で分離爪を補
助手段として用いる場合、分離爪への現像剤の付着が定
着後の画像を乱すことになり、かつ現像剤の付着量が多
量になると転写紙の搬送を妨げることになりジヤムにつ
ながる。特に複写紙上の画像濃度が高い場合に発生しや
すい問題であった。

によりウエブ5は定着ローラ1に圧接し、定着ローラ1
の表面をクリーニングするとともにウエブ5中の離型剤
を定着ローラ1の表面に塗布する。分離爪8は複写紙3
の定着ローラ1からの剥離を補助するとともに、ジヤム
紙の定着ローラ1への巻付きを防止するために定着ロー
ラ1の長手方向に複数個設けられている定着ローラ1を
通過した複写紙は排紙コロ9により排出される。第2図
は本考案の実施例であり、第1図を上方から見た図であ
る。

であるために低粘性であるためのオイルの流出はない。
従って、低粘度オイルの離型性能を充分に発揮すること
ができ、低粘度オイル塗布部は複写紙上の画像濃度が高
い場合でも離型性能は良い。すなわち分離爪への依存度
が低下するために分離爪への現像剤の付着が少なく、画
像への悪影響およびジヤムへの心配はなくなった。

(考案の効果) 以上のように本考案では特に複写紙上の画像濃度が高い
場合に定着器の分離爪による画像乱れおよび複写紙ジヤ
ムは、シリコンオイルを含浸したウエブに分離爪部に対
応してシリコンオイルの離型性を変化させる、すなわち
爪部のオイル粘性を低下させて離型性を向上させておく
ことにより防止できた。
