[Industrial applications]

The present invention relates to a lower looper adjusting device for moving a supporting arm of the lower looper on a swing shaft to accurately set a distance from a needle.

【0002】[0002]

[Prior art]

In order for the lower looper 1 to scoop the loop for proper sewing, as shown in FIG. 1 (a), the distance L1 between the tip of the lower looper 1 and the center line of the needle N ( It is necessary to set the so-called return amount (in the direction orthogonal to the moving axis 3) to about 4 mm. 1B is a view of FIG. 1A viewed from the arrow Z direction, the distance L2 between the sword tip of the lower looper 1 and the center line of the needle N in the swing axis 3 direction. The so-called gap must be set to about 0.3 mm.

By the way, in the prior art as shown in FIG. 2, the position adjustment of the lower looper 1 with respect to the needle on the swing axis is performed as follows. That is, the set screw 4 for fixing the looper support arm 2 whose lower end is pivotally supported by the swing shaft 3 is loosened, and the looper support arm 2 is rotated in the direction of arrow A while striking with a driver or the like. This is usually done by adjusting the amount of return or by moving the looper support arm 2 in the direction of arrow B on the swing shaft 3 (adjusting the clearance).

[Problems to be solved by the device]

However, it is extremely difficult to accurately set the position of the lower looper with respect to the needle by the above-mentioned conventional technique. That is, in FIG. 2, when the set screw 4 is loosened to perform the positioning in the arrow A direction first, and then the positioning in the arrow B direction is performed, the looper support arm 2 rocks while performing the work in the B direction. There are many cases where an error occurs in the positioning performed in the A direction due to the rotation around the moving shaft 3. Moreover, even if it can be set accurately, the adjustment in the direction of arrow B is very difficult and takes time. This is because, as described above, the movement in the B direction is performed to set a so-called gap, and this gap is a very fine set amount of 0.4 mm.

[Means for Solving the Problems]

According to the invention of the present application, in a sewing machine having a looper support arm pivotally supported by a swing shaft and having a lower looper fixed to an end thereof, a lower looper adjusting device is supported, and a lower looper is supported at an upper end. The lower end of the looper support arm is releasably fixed to the swing shaft, the lower end of the support plate is releasably fixed to the swing shaft, and the swing axis direction of the looper support arm. Connection for connecting the looper support arm and the support plate so that the looper support arm and the support plate can integrally rotate about the axis of the swing shaft. Means, an adjusting screw having a male screw portion at its tip and rotatably mounted on one of the looper supporting arm and the supporting plate and fixed in position in the axial direction of the swing shaft; It is formed so that the male screw portion is screwed to either the looper support arm or the support plate which is not attached. By configuring in the female screw portion, it is intended to solve the conventional problems described above.

[Action]

In this invention, when the fixing of the looper support arm and the support plate to the swing shaft is released, both of them rotate integrally about the swing shaft, and the support plate of the support plate is rotated with respect to the swing shaft. Only the looper support arm moves horizontally in the axial direction of the rocking shaft when the adjustment screw is fixed and rotated, so that the position of the lower looper with respect to the needle can be accurately and easily adjusted.

[Example of device]

An embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. 3 to 6 are views showing a first embodiment according to the present invention. In the figure, 1 is a lower looper, 2 is a looper support arm, the lower part of which is pivotally supported by a swing shaft 3, and is normally fixed to the swing shaft 3 by a set screw 4. Reference numeral 5 denotes a support plate which stands in parallel with the looper support arm 2 and whose lower end is fixed to the end face of the swing shaft 3 by a set screw 9. Reference numeral 6 denotes a hole provided at the upper end of the support plate 5 and the hole facing the hole. Is a pin as a connecting means that is inserted between the looper support arm 2 and the hole provided on the looper support arm 2. The pin 6 is parallel to the swing axis of the looper support arm 2. While allowing the movement, the looper support arm 2 and the support plate 5 can integrally rotate about the axis.

Reference numeral 7 denotes an adjusting screw, and in this embodiment, a step portion is rotatably inserted into a hole provided in the support plate 5 to be locked to the support plate 5 and a male screw formed at the tip. The part is composed of a stepped screw that fits into a screw hole as a female screw part provided on the looper support arm 2. Reference numeral 8 denotes an E-ring, which is located on the back surface of the support plate 5 in engagement with a groove 7a formed in the step portion of the step screw 7 as shown in FIGS.

Based on the above configuration, the operation of this embodiment will be described mainly with reference to FIG. First, the set screw 4 is loosened, and the looper support arm 2 is lightly tapped with a screwdriver or the like to rotate the looper support arm 2 by a predetermined amount around the swing shaft to set the return amount of the looper. Next, the step screw 7 is rotated while the set screw 4 is loosened to move the looper support arm 2 forward and backward in the axial direction, and the gap amount of the looper is adjusted and set. When the stepped screw 7 is rotated, the rotation of the stepped screw 7 is idled by the stepped portion and the E ring 8 with respect to the support plate 5, but the threaded portion is screwed into the screw hole portion of the looper support arm 2. The looper support arm 2 is moved back and forth in the axial direction. By the way, during this forward / backward movement, the set screw 9 fixes the looper support arm 2 to the end surface of the swing shaft 3 via the support plate 5 and the pin 6 to prevent the rotation around the shaft, while 6 has a guide function for maintaining a predetermined angle with respect to the swing shaft 3 of the looper support arm 2 and enables the proper movement of the looper support arm 2. When the adjustment is completed as described above, the set screw 4 is fastened.

In the above-described embodiment, the case where the step screw 7 as the adjusting screw is attached to the support plate 5 has been described, but the step screw 7 is reversely configured and the step screw 7 is attached to the looper support arm 2. The support plate 5 may be formed with a female screw portion that is engaged with the male screw portion and is screwed to the male screw portion at the tip thereof.

Next, a second embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. 7 and 8. In the figure, 51 is a U-shaped support plate whose lower end is fixed to the end face of the swing shaft 3 by a set screw 9 and whose upper end is locked to the looper support arm 2 by a step screw 71. A U-shaped opening 51a is formed at the upper end of the support plate 51 which stands in parallel with the looper support arm 2. An annular groove 71a is formed on the head side of the stepped portion of the stepped screw 71 as the adjusting screw so as to engage with the opening 51a. On the looper support arm 2, a hole 2a into which the step is engaged is formed in a portion where the step screw 71 faces, and a male screw formed at the tip of the step screw 71 is formed in the inner part of the hole 2a. A screw hole 2b is formed as a female screw portion with which the portion is screwed. Note that, in the above description, the annular groove 71a, the step portion, and the hole portion 2a into which the step portion is fitted constitute the connecting means.

The operation of this embodiment will be described based on the above configuration. First, the set screw 4 is loosened, and the looper support arm 2 is lightly tapped with a screwdriver or the like to rotate the looper support arm 2 by a predetermined amount around the swing shaft to set the return amount of the looper. Next, the step screw 71 is rotated while the set screw 4 is loosened to move the looper support arm 2 forward and backward in the axial direction to adjust and set the gap amount of the looper. In the above-described embodiment, the case where the step screw 71 as the adjusting screw is attached to the support plate 51 has been described, but the step screw 71 is formed in the looper support arm 2 in the reverse configuration. The support plate 51 may be formed with a female thread portion that slidably engages with the hole portion, and the hole portion into which the step portion fits and the male screw portion at the tip are screwed together.

When the stepped screw 71 is rotated, the rotation of the stepped screw 71 idles with respect to the support plate 51 due to the annular groove 71a provided in the stepped portion and the opening 51a engaged with the annular groove 71a, but the threaded portion is the looper. Since the looper support arm 2 is screwed into the screw hole portion 2b of the support arm 2, the looper support arm 2 is advanced and retracted in the axial direction. By the way, during this advance / retreat, the set screw 9 fixes the looper support arm 2 to the end surface of the swing shaft 3 via the support plate 51 and the stepped portion of the step screw 71 to prevent the rotation around the axis. On the other hand, the engagement between the stepped portion of the stepped screw 71 and the hole 2a provides a guide function for maintaining a predetermined angle with respect to the swing shaft 3 of the looper support arm 2 to ensure proper alignment of the looper support arm 2. Enable easy movement. When the adjustment is completed as described above, tighten the setscrew 4.

Next, a third embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. 9 and 10. In the figure, 1 is a lower looper, 2 is a looper support arm, the lower part of which is pivotally supported by a swing shaft 3 and is normally fixed to the swing shaft 3 by a set screw 4. Reference numeral 52 is a support plate which stands in parallel with the looper support arm 2 and whose lower end is fixed to the end surface of the swing shaft 3 by a set screw 9. Further, 72 is a step screw as an adjusting screw, and a screw hole as a female screw portion formed in the looper support arm 2 through a hole provided in the support plate 5 and a screw as a male screw portion formed at the tip. It is designed to combine parts. Reference numeral 8 denotes an E-ring, which is fitted in a groove 72a provided in the step portion of the step screw 72 and is located on the back surface of the support plate 52 as shown in FIGS. In addition, in FIG. 10, 72b is a spring seat.

Reference numeral 53 is a protrusion provided on the lower end of the support plate 52 and bent at a right angle to the looper support arm 2 side, and 54 is a groove formed on the lower end edge of the looper support arm. The ridges are designed to fit together. A connecting means for rotating the looper support arm 2 and the support plate 52 integrally around the axis or moving only the looper support arm 2 in the axial direction by the protrusion 53 and the groove 54. Is configured.

Then, the step screw 72 is rotated while the set screw 4 is loosened to move the looper support arm 2 forward and backward in the axial direction to adjust and set the gap amount of the looper.

When the stepped screw 72 is rotated, the rotation of the stepped screw 72 idles with respect to the support plate 52 due to the annular groove 72a provided in the stepped portion and the E ring engaged with the annular groove 72a. Since it is screwed into the screw hole portion of the holding arm 2, the looper support arm 2 is moved forward and backward in the axial direction. By the way, during this forward / backward movement, the set screw 9 fixes the looper support arm 2 to the end face of the swing shaft 3 via the support plate 52 and the step screw 72 to prevent rotation around the shaft. The engagement between the ridges 53 and the grooves 54 provides a guide function for maintaining the predetermined angle of the looper support arm 2 with respect to the swing shaft 3, and enables the proper movement of the looper support arm 2. When the adjustment is completed as described above, the set screw 4 is fastened.

It should be noted that, in the above-described embodiment, the case where the protrusion 53 and the groove 54 as the connecting means are provided on the support plate 52 and the looper support arm 2, respectively, has been described. Alternatively, the protrusion 53 may be formed on the looper support arm 2 and the groove 54 may be formed on the support plate 52. Further, the stepped screw 72 may be mounted on the looper support arm 2 side as in the above-described embodiment.

[Effect of device]

According to the invention of the present application, the setting and adjustment of the return amount and the setting and adjustment of the gap amount are performed without interfering with each other by the configuration and operation described above, so that the lower looper can be accurately aligned. Further, since the setting and adjustment of the gap amount required for fine work can be performed only by rotating the screw, it is possible to accurately and easily perform it.
