Abstract

PURPOSE:To automate winding of a coil using an automatic coil winding device by fusion welding an end of a fusion-weldable wire regarding a method of folding back the winding of the coil, where the first layer of the coil is formed by winding the fusion-weldable wire on a coil bobbin, the end of this wire is folded back and the second layer of the coil is wound continuously. CONSTITUTION:On the outer surface 1a of a cylindrical coil bobbin 1, the first and second layers 4, 5 of fusion-weldable wire 3 are folded back through a fusion welding part 20 and are wound and the coil 6 is formed. The end 4a of the winding of the first layer of the coil 4 is wound inwardly by an angle thetaand fixed through the fusion welding part 20 formed by fusion-welding the fusion weldable wires 3 by application of heat, lights and a solvent. The fixed end 4a is folded back in the original direction and forming the second layer of the coil 5, a two-layer coil is formed. Therefore, repeating this method on both ends, a multilayer coil is easily formed.

Since the conventional winding structure is constructed as described above, there are the following problems. That is, in the structures of FIGS. 9 and 10, since the end plate and the tape are used, it is extremely difficult to use the automatic winding machine, and automation is extremely difficult. Further, in the case of FIG. 11, since the non-wound portion of the second layer winding has to be formed at the end of the first layer winding, the windings for the differential transformer are the first layer winding and the second layer winding. The boundary between the windings was not clear, and there was a problem with accuracy due to the detection characteristics of the differential transformer.
