て布地の最初の端部より縫い始めることは不可能であっ
た。そこで添付図面を参照して、従来例のこの種のすく
い縫いミシンについて概説する。図6は、本発明の改良
した布押えや、送り歯を組み込む前の従来例のすくい縫
いミシンの斜視図である。先ず従来例の構成について説
明する。この種のすくい縫いミシンの主要部分について
符号をもって表示すれば、2は糸掛け棒、4はプリー、
6はすくい調整ダイアル、8は下軸ケース、10は膝上
げ、12はベース、14は補助テーブル、16は曲針、
18はルーパ、20は送り歯、22はアーム、24は縫
い糸自動制御装置、23は一対の糸調子皿、26は糸調
子ばねで、又25は糸立棒である。図7に図示する54
は針板組であり、55は布押え組を示す。図8は図6の
送り歯20の拡大分解斜視図であり、46,47はそれ

応じて、布地を前方へ送りだすものである。この出願の
送り歯機構は三つの歯部を有し、いわゆる三点送り作用
を可能とするので、布地の端からまつり縫いが可能であ
り、更にこれに加えて縫い糸自動制御装置の作用によ
り、針へ供給する縫い糸のテンション制御を行うことが
出来るから、布地が重なりあって段差が形成されている
