Abstract

PURPOSE:To produce the magnetic head which prevents peeling of lead wires at the time of a winding stage for the bulk type head by winding a ribbon made of plastic on a head core and heating this ribbon to tightly adhere the ribbon to this core. CONSTITUTION:The curled ribbon 3 made of a plastic is cut to meet a window size. The ribbon easily tightly adheres in the window shape if the thickness is, for example, 50mum or smaller. A material which is not deformed at the temp. applied in a post stage is used. The ribbon is formed in to a shape having a margin at one end to facilitate handling. The ribbon 3 is passed in this winding window and is entangled with the core 1 and, thereafer, an unnecessary part is cut. The ribbon is, thereafter, heated to, for example, a temp, between 120 deg.C and 250 deg.C, and finally, the prescribed winding stage is executed. As a result, the peeling of the lead wires is prevented and the winding with the high reliability is executed.

2. Description of the Related Art FIG. 3 shows a perspective external view of a magnetic head for a hard disk. A plastic bobbin 4 is mounted on the core 1, and a lead wire 5 is wound on the bobbin 4. FIG. 2 shows an outline of the process before winding. Conventionally, when a lead wire is wound as it is on the core 1 portion around which a signal wire is wound, the lead wire 5 is rubbed at the corner portion 2 during the winding work to peel off the insulating coating layer, dust is generated, and the lead wires, heads, and heads. It is easy to cause insulation breakdown between the lead and the lead wire. In order to prevent this, an injection-molded plastic bobbin 4 that can be fitted into the core was attached, and the winding work was performed in the state shown in FIG. 2 (b). Further, when the bobbin 4 is not used, a method of rounding the corner portion of the window or applying a liquid resin to round the corner portion has been used.

However, in the conventional method using the bobbin, the size of the plastic bobbin to be mounted is high.
In addition to having a small size of 0.4 mm or less and having a complicated shape, it was necessary to have a dimensional accuracy of 0.05 mm or less so as not to shift the position after mounting. Moreover, since the window shape hardly changes as the head size changes, it is necessary to remake the mold for injection molding the bobbin. Due to these reasons, the disadvantage that the price of the bobbin becomes high is inevitable. As a method for processing the corner portion into a round shape, a manual method is used, but it has a drawback that productivity is poor. The method using a resin has a drawback that the opening size of the winding window 6 becomes small when the amount of liquid applied is constant and when the liquid is applied so that the corner portion has sufficient insulation.

Embodiment An embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIG.
The curled ribbon 3 made of plastic is cut according to the window size. If the thickness is 50 μm or less, it is easier to adhere to the window shape. Also, the temperature that will be added in the subsequent process (about 100 ℃)
Therefore, a material that does not deform is preferable. The ribbon should have a margin on one end so that it is easy to handle. After the ribbon 3 is passed through the winding window and entangled with the core 1, unnecessary portions are cut. Then, it is heated and mounted as shown in FIG.
