Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce accident incidence by providing a colored reflection portion. in which fluorescent color is dispersed and transparent beads like glass beads are mixed in colored transparent synthetic resin layer, thereby improving visual perception at night, etc. CONSTITUTION:A colorless transparent synthetic resin layer 7 mixed with glass beads 6 is disposed on the surface of a highly reflective white-colored transparent synthetic resin layer 5, thereby providing a white-colored reflection portion. The portion is then attached on the outer surface of a rod 2 by use of a bond 8, covering the surface. Then, a colored transparent synthetic resin layer 11 dispersed with red fluorescent glass beads 10 is attached on the outer surface of the rod 2 by use of the bond 8, covering the surface. In the colored transparent synthetic resin layer 11, incident light is absorbed in the fluorescent color 9 and so converted in long wave length, so that in re-radiation, there occurs fluorescence. On the other hand, incident light in the transparent beads 6 is mostly reflected back toward the original light source in return reflection. Accordingly, the brightness is enhanced and the visual perception is improved due to combined effect of the fluorescent color 9 and the transparent beads 6.

2. Description of the Related Art In snowy countries, roads are often covered with snow in winter, and the boundaries of the roads are often unclear. When a vehicle or the like passes through such a road, an accident may occur in which the vehicle or the like comes off the road and gets stuck in a groove or the like. Therefore, in order to prevent such an accident, a means has been taken in which marking poles having a length such that the upper end portion thereof can protrude above the snow are erected at regular intervals along the boundary of the road. However, the conventional marking pole of this type has a poor visibility at night, and thus cannot completely prevent an accident.

The light incident on the inside of the colored transparent synthetic resin layer is absorbed by the fluorescent dye, converted into light of a longer wavelength and re-emitted, and emits fluorescence at that time. Most of the light incident on the transparent beads such as glass beads is reflected in the direction of the original light source due to the retroreflectivity. The synergistic effect of the action of the fluorescent dye and the action of the transparent beads increases the brightness and improves the visibility. Some of the light that hits the transparent beads is transmitted or scattered by surface reflection, but the fluorescent dye absorbs not only direct light but also all incident light including scattered light and re-emits it as described above. Therefore, the transmitted or scattered light also acts on the fluorescent dye to generate fluorescence, and even light with a small amount of light emitted from the headlight of a car at night can be efficiently used without waste.

Embodiments will be described below with reference to the drawings. First, FIG. 1 shows the overall shape. A concrete disk-shaped base 1 is provided at the lower end, and a pipe-shaped rod 2 is erected vertically in the center of the upper surface of the base 1. Thus, the red reflecting portions 3 and the white reflecting portions 4 are alternately provided downward from the upper end portion of the rod body 2. The rod 2 has a sufficient height that exceeds the amount of snow in the snow country.

Next, FIG. 2 shows a partial cross section of the rod 2. The white reflection part 4 is a highly transparent white synthetic resin base layer 5 on which a colorless transparent synthetic resin layer 7 mixed with glass beads 6 is provided. It is glued to cover. In addition, the red reflecting portion 3 is also formed on the surface of the base layer 5 by the red fluorescent dye 9
And a colored transparent synthetic resin layer 11 in which the fluorescent glass beads 10 are mixed are provided and are also bonded by an adhesive 8 so as to cover the outer peripheral surface of the rod 2.

Further, the fluorescent glass beads 10 are used as the transparent beads mixed in the above-mentioned transparent synthetic resin.
Ordinary glass beads that are not fluorescent may be used.
The fluorescent glass beads 10 are obtained by coating the entire surface of the glass beads with a transparent synthetic resin in which the above fluorescent dye is dispersed. Further, it is also possible to use glass beads whose surface is coated with a transparent synthetic resin in which a fluorescent dye is not dispersed. Further, as the transparent beads, titanium beads or the like can be used in addition to glass beads.

A comparison test of the visibility between the above-mentioned embodiment of the present invention and the conventional example was conducted. The results are shown in Table 1 below. In the first conventional example, glass beads are mixed into a transparent synthetic resin layer in which an ordinary dye is dispersed to form a colored reflecting portion. In the second conventional example, a fluorescent dye is dispersed in a transparent synthetic resin layer, but a glass is used. The beads do not mix, and the colored reflection portion is formed.
