An image recording apparatus for positioning a plurality of casings relative to each other and stacking them in multiple stages, and a receiving portion for roughly positioning the lower casings when receiving the upper casings. A guide part that guides the upper casing received by the receiving part when moved laterally, and the lower casing is provided with the guide part to guide the upper casing to the upper casing. Upper and lower positioning portions that engage with each other when accurately moved in the lateral direction to accurately position the upper housing are provided in the upper and lower housings, respectively.
