Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent that paper gets over an ink ribbon to generate corner folding or jamming even when the paper is sucked in a curled state by performing spacing operation when the width of the paper is detected after the paper is sucked. CONSTITUTION:When a suction sensor 1 confirms that paper 12 is sucked, a front roller 3 is operated to feed the paper 12. When a cueing sensor 2 confirms the sucked paper 12, the sensor 2 feeds the paper 12 to a definite preset position and subsequently allows a printing head 8 and a card holder 11 to perform spacing operation in order to detect the width of the paper 12.
