Abstract

PURPOSE:To measure the adhesion to a body to which adhesive tape is stuck accurately by providing an intermediate layer consisting of silicon grease or negative ion surface-active agent on the surface of the body and then a marker layer consisting of a specific metal or carbon thin film on it. CONSTITUTION:A liquid solution of toluene grease with a toluene liquid solution concentration of 1-2wt.% is coated on the surface of a body to which adhesive tape is stuck or an aqueous solution of negative ion active-surface agent with an aqueous solution concentration of 1-2wt.% is coated on the surface of the body. A marker layer consisting of a metal or carbon thin film which is 10-100nm or preferably 20-40nm thick is formed on the surface of the intermediate layer coated on the surface of the body to be adhered to. The viscous surface of an adhesive tape is pressed and applied to the marker layer, is left for a certain amount of time, and then is peeled off. The degree of adhesion is calculated from the ratio of the area of the marker layer adhered to the viscous surface to the total area of viscous surface for judgment.

2. Description of the Related Art When evaluating the adhesiveness of an adhesive tape for an adherend having fine irregularities on its surface, the degree of adhesion between the adherend and the adhesive tape is important in addition to the adhesive strength of the adhesive itself. It becomes a factor. That is, if the unevenness on the surface is large, the adhesion is lowered, and if the unevenness is small, the adhesion is improved.

Therefore, if the adhesiveness of the adhesive tape can be accurately measured, the adhesiveness of the adhesive tape can be correctly evaluated by examining the adhesiveness and other adhesive physical properties (initial adhesive strength, etc.) together, and the adherend can be adhered. Since various adhesive tapes can be designed according to the type and shape of, it is a very effective evaluation technique.

[0004] The degree of the powdery powdering phenomenon (powdering) of the surface coating during the molding process of the surface-treated metal plate is determined by the amount of the powdery coating (powder) that adheres to the adhesive transparent tape adhered to the molding site. There is disclosed a method of quantitatively measuring by optically measuring (JP-A-62-10).

In the present invention, the evaluation of the adhesion to the adherend is carried out by the following method. (1) An intermediate layer is provided on the surface of the adherend, and a marker layer is further provided on the intermediate layer. (2) The pressure-sensitive adhesive surface of the pressure-sensitive adhesive tape is pressed and attached to the marker layer, left for a certain period of time, and then the pressure-sensitive adhesive tape is peeled off. (3) The area of the marker layer attached to the adhesive surface of the adhesive tape is measured. (4) From the area a of the marker layer adhered to the adhesive surface and the area A of the entire adhered adhesive surface, the adhesion is calculated by the following formula. Adhesion (%) = (a / A) × 100

(Examples 6 and 7) An acrylic paint-coated steel plate (30 x 50 mm) was used as the adherend instead of the decorative plywood, and the adherend was an anionic surfactant ("Mama Royal" manufactured by Lion Corporation). The degree of unevenness, the degree of adhesion and the initial adhesive strength were measured by the same method as in Example 1 except that the intermediate layer was formed by dipping in 1.5% by weight of an aqueous solution and drying. Table 1 shows the relationship between the initial adhesive force and the degree of adhesion (gold adhesion area) in FIG.
