【特許請求の範囲】[Claims] 【請求項1】 付勢手段により常時軸端方向に向けて付
勢されたエンジンバルブの軸部を、バルブホルダにより
軸線方向に摺動自在として保持するとともに、前記エン
ジンバルブの傘部を、バルブホルダの嵌合孔に圧入した
バルブシートに当接させ、エンジンバルブを往復駆動手
段により往復移動させつつ、傘部の表面に向かって火炎
を放射して加熱することにより、傘部に形成された弁フ
ェース部とバルブシートとの互いの当接面の摩耗状態を
検査するようにしたエンジンバルブ及びバルブシートの
摩耗試験装置において、 前記バルブシートが圧入された側のバルブホルダの端面
に、バルブシート側に向かうにしたがって漸次拡径する
とともに、バルブシート側の端部の内径をエンジンバル
ブの傘部の外径とほぼ同等かそれよりも大としたテーパ
孔を備える保温カバーを、密着状として設けたことを特
徴とするエンジンバルブ及びバルブシートの摩耗試験装
置。
