れて下降する被覆体の動きが止まることで一応、被覆体
の下端がケーシングの底に到達して所定長の被覆体がケ
ーシング内に入つたものとみなし、この被覆体内に砂が
所定深さ(ダンパーの下方位置)まで充填されたことを
ケーシングの上部に設けた覗窓から確認して、この時点
で砂の供給の停止と被覆体の切断を行う、という作業形
態をとらざるを得ないが、被覆体の下端がケーシングの
底に到達した場合にのみ被覆体の下降が止まるとは限ら
ず、ケーシングの途中の抵抗で被覆体の下降が止まるこ
ともあり得るのに、この従来例ではこの点の判別が不可
能であるから、打設砂杭長が所定どおりであるか否かの
不安が伴う。
