Abstract

PURPOSE:To realize an ornamental part having a complicated fine pattern constituted by a mat surface and a glossy surface as forming the same plane having no difference in level of the surface without manual work, either one of the mat part and the glossy part being partially plated. CONSTITUTION:A mask 3 for patterning by print is provided on the surface of a matted metal part 1, and a hard coat 4 is dry plated on the mask 3. The mask 3 is then fused, and the hard coat 4 in the mask part is also peeled to form a pattern part, and this pattern part is polished into a glossy surface, whereby a part in which either one of the matted surface and a patterned glossy surface part 5 is partially plated can be provided.

2. Description of the Related Art In the prior art, metal parts whose surface is a mirror surface,
For example, the decorative edge 6 shown in FIG. 4 is prepared, and the desired mirror surface portion 8 is not scratched, and the other portions are creases so that the step difference with the surface is a macroscopically equivalent surface. The mirror surface portion 8 and the matte portion are formed by matting the surface 9 or the like. After that, there is a product in which a protective mask is provided on either one of the configured ones, plating is performed, and then one of the two is partially plated by a method of removing the mask.

However, in the conventional products and the manufacturing method thereof, the steps of selectively providing a matte surface and the step of providing a protective mask on the parts whose surfaces are mirror surfaces are performed by pressing them against a sandpaper. It was manual work such as doing.
For this reason, the patterning composed of the mirror surface portion and the matte portion is limited to an extremely simple shape. On the other hand, there is a limit in accuracy in manual painting work in which a protective mask for partial plating is provided. There was a problem.

(Embodiment 1) Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in detail with reference to embodiments. In FIG. 1, FIG. 1A shows a step of forming a matte metal component 1 by providing a matte surface such as a crease surface or a honing surface on the surface of the metal component by a processing machine (not shown). FIG. 1B shows a step of providing the mask 3 on the matte surface by a saw printer or a screen printer whose pattern is not shown. FIG. 1C shows a step of forming a hard coating 4 which is a Ti nitride, carbide, or oxide film or a mixed film thereof by an ion plating device (not shown). It should be noted that a sputtering device can be used instead of the ion plating device.

FIG. 1D shows a step of dissolving the mask 3 with a solvent to simultaneously remove the hard coating 4 on the mask portion. Through this step, the hard coating 4 covers other portions except the pattern desired to be a glossy surface. Figure 1 (e)
Shows a step in which the surface is polished with a polishing machine (not shown) using an abrasive, and the pattern portion without the hard coating 4 is selectively polished to form the glossy surface portion 5. FIG. 1F shows a step of forming the wet plating film 2 on the part partially plated with the hard film 4 by wet plating such as gold plating. Figure 1
(G) is a wet plating film 2 which is peeled off and adhered to the hard film 4 by using a liquid in which the hard film 4 is mixed with hydrofluoric acid and nitric acid.
Also shows the step of peeling at the same time, and to obtain a decorative part which is partially plated with the wet plating film 2 on the glossy surface so that the level difference between the matte surface and the surface cannot be visually identified and is almost the same surface. I was able to.

(Embodiment 2) In FIG. 2, FIG.
Shows a process of forming a matte metal component 1 by providing a crease surface or a honing surface on the surface of the metal component by a processing machine (not shown). FIG. 2B shows a step of forming a wet plating film 2 by performing wet plating such as gold plating on the surface.
FIG. 2C shows a step of providing the mask 3 with a desired pattern to be a glossy surface on the surface of the wet plating film 2 by a not shown saw printer or screen printer. Figure 2 (d)
Is Ti by an ion plating device (not shown).
The process of forming the hard coating 4 which is a film of a nitride, a carbide or an oxide, or a film in which these are mixed is shown. Figure 2
(E) shows a step of dissolving the mask 3 with a solvent and peeling it off. Through this step, the hard coating 4 coated on the mask 3 is peeled off at the same time, so that the hard coating 4 covers the portions other than the letters and patterns desired to be glossy.

In FIG. 2 (f), the surface of the wet coating film 2 etc. is abraded by polishing the surface without the hard coating 4 by selectively polishing the surface with a polishing agent by a polishing machine (not shown). The process of forming the glossy surface portion 5 on the surface of the eraser component is shown. Even at this stage, the difference in level between the coated surface and the glossy surface portion 5 is on the order of microns, and therefore, the surfaces are visually the same. FIG. 2 (g) shows the step of peeling using a liquid in which the hard coating 4 and nitric acid are mixed with hydrofluoric acid, and the step between the matte surface and the glossy surface portion 5 is visually identified by this step. As a result, it is possible to obtain a decorative component in which the wet plating film 2 is formed by partial plating in a pattern on substantially the same surface.

(Embodiment 3) FIG. 3 is a perspective view of a decorative edge of a decorative component for a timepiece exterior to which the manufacturing method of Embodiment 1 is applied. A matte surface composed of a crease surface 9 and a honing surface 10 is formed on the decorative edge 6 having a ring-shaped outer peripheral curved surface, and a pattern character glossy surface portion 7 is formed on the matte surface. This pattern can be arbitrarily created according to the shape of the mask at the time of printing, and a complicated pattern including an arabesque pattern or a curved line can be formed even on a curved surface by octopus printing or the like. Only the character glossy surface portion 7 is subjected to gold plating which is a wet plating film, and its surface is the same plane as the matte surface as shown in FIG. 1, and the step is visually indistinguishable. . The matte surface is provided with a crease surface and a honing surface in the embodiment, but can be formed by any other processing method such as using a sandblast method,
The decorative effect is further enhanced by combining multiple types instead of one type. The appearance of the exterior part for a watch to which Example 2 is applied is
Since it is similar to FIG. 3, its description is omitted.

As described above in the embodiments, according to the present invention, it is possible to eliminate the manual work and to form a complicated and fine pattern even on a part having a curved surface portion such as a decorative edge, which is of high quality. Even though it is dressy, since there is no step in the pattern, it is possible to provide a decorative item with a slight touch.
