Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a disposal equipment for a used injection needle by melting the used injection needle by a short-circuit current between electrodes in such a manner that blood remaining in the needle can be sealed inside the needle by closing the tip of the needle during melting. CONSTITUTION:A used injection needle C inserted from an injection needle inlet touches a first electrode 15 and a second electrode 22, and a short-circuit current is applied between these electrodes for melting the needle in this disposal equipment for used injection needle. The second electrode 22 is made of a cylindrical electrode 22a fitted to the outer surface of an insulated rotating body 24 which is rotated by a motor; the tip of the needle of the injection needle C is closed by a flow of melted chip due to the rotation of the cylindrical electrode 22a; a current-carrying plate 25 and a scraper 26 for scratching off the melted chips are elastically connected to the exterior surface of the cylindrical electrode 22a; and the melted chip of the injection needle C stuck to the cylindrical electrode 22a is scratched off with the scraper 26 and dropped to a storage for storage.

In the conventional treatment device for the used injection needle, the used injection needle can be dissolved by the short circuit current between the first and second electrodes. The tip of the injection needle cannot be closed so that the blood in the needle tube can be contained in the needle tube, the molten debris of the injection needle adheres to the second electrode, and its removal work is troublesome. The insertion contact of the injection needle with respect to the electrode and the second electrode becomes uncertain, and there is a problem that injection needles having different thicknesses cannot be processed.

In the used needle disposing apparatus according to the third aspect of the present invention, the pair of first and second electrodes 15 is biased by springs 18 and 19 in a closing direction in which the first electrode 15 is opened by inserting the needle C and is closed by detaching the needle C. Since it is composed of the movable electrode plates 15a and 15b, the injection needle C and the first electrode 15 (the movable electrode plate 15) can be simply inserted by inserting the injection needle C between the closed ends of the movable electrode plates 15a and 15b.
a, 15b) and the second electrode 22 (cylindrical electrode 22a) can be brought into contact with each other easily and surely, and it becomes possible to safely process even injection needles having different thicknesses.
