ウエブ同志を重ねる場合、進行するウエブにターンバー
を渡しウエブの進行方向を転換している。例えば、2本
のターンバーを斜交いに渡すとウエブを反転させること
ができる。ターンバーは円柱状の棒であれば一応の使用
できるが、ターンバーに接触する面が印刷が施されてい
るとターンバーと印刷面が擦れて印刷面が汚れてしま
う。このため、このような場合には中空の円筒の所々に
キリ穴をあけ圧縮空気を吹き込こんでキリ穴から吹き出
させ、ウエブが非接触状態となるようにしている。さら
に、ターンバーの表面をテフロンテープで被覆したもの
も使用されている。しかしながら、印刷の高速度化に伴
い従来の方法では不十分であり、しばしばターンバーと
の擦れによる汚れが発生していた。又、ウエブは印刷の
乾燥工程により含水率が低下しており、ウエブが接触す
ることにより静電気が発生し、後工程でのウエブの処理
に支障が生ずることがあった。2. 【課題を解決するための手段】本願の請求項1の発明

細穴から加湿された空気を吹き出すようにした進行ウエ
ブの転換方法であり、請求項2の発明は、進行するウエ
ブに対して斜め方向にターンバーを渡し該ウエブの進行
方向を転換する方法において、上記ターンバーが多数の
微細穴を有する焼結金属であり、該微細穴からイオン化
された空気を吹き出すようにした進行ウエブの転換方法

発明に使用するターンバー10は、表面には直径10〜
30μmの微細穴が一面に分布している円筒形状であ
る。中空部11には空気が供給され、微細穴より吹き出
るようになっている。ターンバーは細かいメッシュを有
する金属製金網を数層重ねて焼結するか、粉末金属を加
圧、加熱して焼結することより製造することができる。
金属素材としてはステンレス、銅等が使用できる。本発
明の方法は、ターンバーの中空部11にコンプレッサー
又はブロアー等の空気供給源12から空気を配管により
供給する。供給される空気は加湿される。空気を加湿す
る方法としては、空気供給源からターンバーへの配管の
途中又中空部11内に加湿機13を設けることによって
達成できる。又、本発明では空気をイオン化して供給す
る。これは、空気中で高周波を発生させ空気をイオン化
させる空気イオン化装置を加湿機に代えて設ければよ
