Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a protector which is easily attached to a closed type electric compressor. CONSTITUTION:A protector 30 is provided with a closed metal outer case 31 that acts as one terminal and has a superior heat conductivity, and a conductive terminal pin 32 electrically insulated from the outer case 31. A receptacle 36A is conductively fixed to the outer case 31, and a lead wire 13 used for connection with a coil of an electric motor is fixed to the terminal pin 32. A tab 35A is fixed to the inside of a conductive pin 16A of a cluster disposed in a closed type electric compressor. As a result of the fitting of the receptacle 36A to the tab 35A in a fixed manner, the protector 30 is electrically connected to and securely positioned on the conductive pin 16A.

て電動機に供給される電流を遮断し電動機の巻線を過熱
から保護するとともに自動的に復帰して電動機に電流を
供給し異常がなければそのまま運転を継続し、異常があ
れば再び遮断・通電を繰り返すという保護スイッチとし
ての動作を行わせるものである。

示の如く固定子Fの上下両端にそれぞれ張出し、これは
例えばナイロン製の糸で縛り成形してある。尚、フレオ
ンなどの熱媒体ガスは図示されていないが潤滑油Oは密
閉容器10の下部に示してある。熱媒体ガスが圧縮機Pに
より送出される吐出管17は密閉容器10の上部に設けられ
ている。密閉容器10の蓋部分12には、金属製の環状体の
中に導電ピン16A・16B・16Cをそれぞれ電気的に絶縁支
持するためガラスでハーメチックシールしたクラスタ16
が気密に固着してある。

たソケット20中に収められていて、各々電気的に絶縁さ
れる隔壁22・23が設けられている。ソケット20のクラス
タ16に対向する面には図示しない貫通穴が設けられ、ソ
ケット20によって3個のリセプタクル13A・14A・15Aは

ピンを一個以上有するものであり、かつ前記外函には後
述するようなリセプタクルが固着されている。このプロ
テクタが用いられる密閉形電動圧縮機は密閉容器の内面
に直接電動機の固定子が固着され、この固定子の磁界に
よって回転するように回転子を軸支し、この回転する軸
には圧縮機が連結されていて密閉容器内のフレオンガス
等の熱媒体ガスを密閉容器の吐出管から外部へ送出して
仕事をさせその後再び熱媒体ガスは圧縮機へ戻るように
されたものである。そして前記密閉容器には電動機巻線
を外部の電源と接続するための複数の導電ピンをガラス
等の絶縁材によって金属製環状体に封着したクラスタが
配設され、その導電ピンのうちの一個に前記プロテクタ
のリセプタクルが嵌着される事によって密閉容器内にお
けるプロテクタの位置が決められるようになっている。
一方電動機の巻線は固定子が密閉容器の内面に直接固着
されているのでその固定子に絶縁して巻装されている主
巻線・補助巻線ともに当然乍ら配設位置は確定されさら
に回転子及びその巻線も位置が確定されるので、プロテ
クタと電動機巻線との間の温度の相関は有意な関連性を
持ち電動機巻線を保護する為の取付けの容易な経済性の
高い密閉形電動圧縮機用プロテクタを得る事が出来る。

を締め付け嵌着固定する形状のリセプタクル36Aが溶接
されている。このリセプタクル36をタブ35Aに嵌着固定
する事によりプロテクタ30は確実に位置決めされる。ま
た残る導電ピンのタブ35B・35Cにはリード線14・15に接
続されたリセプタクル36B・36Cが嵌着固定されている。
この様な構成によってプロテクタはソケットがなくても
クラスタの導電ピンに対して位置決めが出来る。

個をプロテクタの外函に導電的に固着させ、このリセプ
タクルを導電ピンに固着されたタブに嵌着する事により
プロテクタの位置決め固定及び電気的接続を行える様に
したものであり、従来のような電動機の巻線に縛りつけ
る方法に比較して非常に手間が省けるとともに小形の電
動機の場合には巻線のコイルエンドが小さいためにプロ
テクタを従来の様に縛るための余分なスペースを必要と
する事もなく余分な資材を省き小形に出来るという優れ
た効果がある。

子を前記電動機巻線の主巻線及び補助巻線のそれぞれ一
端とリード線を介して接続されるとともに前記外函には
前記クラスタの導電ピンの一つに接続されるリセプタク
ルを有しており、 前記クラスタの他の導電ピンはリード線を介して電動機
の主巻線及び補助巻線のそれぞれ他端に接続され、 前記プロテクタのリセプタクルがクラスタの導電ピンに
固着されたタブ端子に嵌着接続される事によってプロテ
クタは冷媒ガスとの熱交換が良好になるように容易に位
置決め固着される事を特徴とする密閉形電動圧縮機用プ
ロテクタ。
