Abstract

PURPOSE:To dispense with replacing active carbon for adsorption by incorporating an arc type active carbon regeneration mechanism and to dispense with a small-sized power source and to reduce the costs of the device and water purification by using the wall of a vessel as one electrode and vertically dividedly arranging other electrodes. CONSTITUTION:Plural stages of screens or slits formed of electrical insulating blank materials are provided within the metallic cylindrical vessel 2 of the adsorption purifying device by the granular active carbon 11 and the metallic electrodes 10 are provided at the center thereof. The granular active carbon 11 larger than the meshes of these plural screens or slits is packed on the screens or slits by providing spacings between the screen and the upper screen. After the built-in active carbon 11 is satd. and adsorbed, the residual water in the vessel 2 is drained and the voltages controlled in current are successively applied between the wall of the cylindrical vessel and plural pieces of the central electrodes 10 to successively generate arc discharges between the active carbon particles for each of the respective stages, by which the active carbon is regenerated without taking out the active carbon.

[0001] "0001""Industrial field of application" The present invention relates to a water purification apparatus such as a mansion, a school, a restaurant, etc., which requires a large amount of drinking water. Fill with activated carbon and pipe,
After using purified water for a certain period, in general, once every 6 months,
A water purification device that regenerates deteriorated filled activated carbon and maintains a water purification function semipermanently by a regeneration mechanism that applies a voltage between a built-in center electrode and the wall of a cylindrical can. [0002] "Technical background and problems of the invention" To supply drinking water for condominiums, etc., the supplied tap water is pumped to a water tank installed at a high place such as a rooftop, and piped to each faucet. To be done. The quality of tap water is nationally guaranteed until the time of supply, but there is no guarantee for the water that is once drawn from the tap. In condominiums, etc., contamination by mice, cockroaches, etc., up to the water tank, is outstanding. In addition, the chlorine odor, musty odor, and trace amount of trihalomethane, which is a carcinogen, are becoming social problems in tap water. As a means to solve this, it can be said that the most suitable method is to perform adsorption purification with activated carbon just before using water. "0003""Object of the invention" The device of the present invention is intended to remove residual chlorine, trihalomethane, etc. immediately before use of water, so that a water user can obtain healthy drinking water semipermanently.
It is a device with a built-in mechanism that automatically regenerates the activated carbon used on a regular basis. [0004] "Structure of the invention" In order to achieve the above-mentioned object, the water purifier of the present invention is provided with a plurality of ceramic perforated plates, each having a stainless steel electrode rod held in the center thereof, in a stainless steel cylindrical can for adsorption. Granular coal for water purification is filled so as to leave a degassing space during regeneration. The apparatus of the present invention thus constructed is constantly supplied with water by a very high level of water purification effect by the activated carbon incorporated therein. At the time of regeneration about every 6 months, by rotating two 3-way ball valves connected to the piping of the inflow hole and the outflow hole, the water flow path is blocked and the residual water in the container is drained. A path for excluding gas generated during the regeneration is also formed. Subsequently, when a current-controlled voltage is applied between the center electrode and the wall of the cylindrical can with an amper limiter, arc discharge is generated between the activated carbon particles, and the adsorbed substances are desorbed sequentially. The porous plates are provided in multiple stages and the center electrode is provided in multiple stages in the cylindrical can because the degassing at the time of regeneration is facilitated and the power supply capacity for regeneration can be reduced by performing the sequential division regeneration. . [0005] "Embodiment of the Invention" Hereinafter, an embodiment of a water purification apparatus according to the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. FIG. 1 shows a side view of the apparatus, and FIG. 2 shows a side view of the section. The water to be purified flows from the inflow hyp-8 into the cylindrical can-2 and upflows, passes through the activated carbon on the ceramic perforated plates provided in multiple stages, is purified, and is piped from the outflow pipe-7. Through to each faucet. Each porous plate-9 is supported by a support bolt-3, and is assembled from the lower part while being filled with activated carbon. At the time of regeneration, the ball valves -4 and 5 connected to the inflow pipe and the outflow pipe are rotated 90 degrees to shut off the flowing water channel and drain the residual water, and at the same time, the exhaust passage is opened. After completion of draining, the center electrode is sequentially placed on each stage -1
0 and the can wall −2, a voltage is applied between them and activated carbon −11
In the meantime, arc discharge is generated and the adsorbed substance is desorbed and decomposed. This decomposed gas is discharged from the blower by means of a blower-6.
Excluded through -12. All the above operations can be automatically performed by using a timer. "0006""Effect of the invention" By incorporating an arc-type activated carbon regeneration mechanism, it is not necessary to replace the activated carbon for adsorption, and the can wall is used as one electrode and the other electrode is divided into upper and lower parts, so a small power source. Therefore, both the equipment cost and the water purification cost are extremely low.
