2. Description of the Related Art A window molding made of a long extrusion molded product of synthetic resin such as vinyl chloride is used for mounting a window glass on a vehicle body and for concealing the gap. In the case of a window molding called a bright foil molding, a metal such as chrome is vapor-deposited with an adhesive on the surface-side design surface of a molding body made of a synthetic resin extruded product to a thickness of 0.2 to 0. A 4 mm fluororesin film is coated to form a glitter foil portion.

An example of a conventional method for integrally joining the ends of this synthetic resin molding is shown in FIGS. 12 and 13. As shown in the figure, in this method, both ends of a molding to which a heating plate or the like is joined are brought into contact with each other, and the both ends are heated and melted, then pressure-bonded to each other and integrally welded. The illustrated example represents the bright foil molding, reference numeral 100 is a molding body, N is a design surface of the molding and is composed of a bright foil portion H, E is an adhesive, F is a chrome layer, and G is a fluororesin film.

However, in this method, after welding the ends of the molding, it is necessary to cut off the protruding deformed portion m along the original shape of the molding, which is troublesome and the joints are not uniform. There was a chance Code C-
C is a cutting line. Further, since the width of the protruding deformed portion m is increased, when the molding to be joined is the glitter foil molding as described above, by cutting off the protruding deformed portion m, as shown in FIG. Body 1
00 appeared wide on the design surface N, and the width thereof ranged from 0.8 mm to 1.2 mm, and the breakage of the bright foil portion H was remarkable, and the appearance was likely to be impaired. Further, since the bright foil portion H is largely bent, there is a problem that the fluororesin film G on the surface is peeled off or loses gloss and becomes cloudy.

At that time, as can be better understood from FIG. 10, the portion m protruding from the predetermined outer peripheral shape of the molding due to the press-fitting of the molding is the mold members 10A and 10B.
The cutting blades 27 and 37 formed on the joining mold surfaces 26 and 36 are cut or regulated and joined. In particular, since the outer peripheral shape of the design surface N of the molding is regulated by the die blade 27a formed with a sharp tip, the molding body portion can be integrally welded with almost no appearance. The gap of the bright foil H in the joint portion of the obtained synthetic resin molding M could be suppressed to 0.1 to 0.15 mm.

As shown and described above, according to the present invention, since the protruding portion generated on the outer peripheral surface of the joint portion is cut off at the same time when the molding terminal is welded, the molding work of this kind is considerably troublesome. The work can be simplified and the work can be simplified. Further, when the molding to be joined is a glitter foil molding, the gap of the glitter foil portion generated in the bonding portion of the molding can be suppressed to be extremely small, so that not only is the seam of the molding inconspicuous, but the fluororesin film There is no peeling or turbidity and the appearance can be treated beautifully.
