However, since Styrofoam is made from petroleum, which is a finite natural resource, as a raw material, it should be avoided as much as possible as a packaging material that is discarded as it is if it serves one transportation purpose. desirable. Also, from the viewpoint of measures to dispose of municipal waste, which is becoming more and more serious, Styrofoam is bulky, transport costs are high, it is not suitable for landfill, and if burned, it will generate high temperature and damage the incinerator. Having problems, the emergence of some alternative to this is desired. On the other hand, a piece made by sticking corrugated cardboard pieces is preferable because it is made from reproducible wood, recycled paper is easy to recycle, and disposal problems are far less than those of Styrofoam. The work is labor intensive and costly, and the buffer function is insufficient. Therefore, an object of the present invention is to efficiently and inexpensively use corrugated board as a material, and the cushioning function is superior to conventional foamed polystyrene packing or a laminated block body of corrugated board pieces, and still, strength characteristics of the outer peripheral surface of the packaged article. There is provided a foldable corrugated packing made of corrugated cardboard that is configured so that the cushioning characteristics of the packing can also be made to differ for each part.

Although the packing 201 is folded up as described above, if this series of bending operations is explained in words, it becomes very redundant, but in reality, even a first-time worker can very easily and quickly. And it can be folded surely.
In this way, it is formed on the upper surface of the packing that has been folded up,
A plurality of cushioning ribs 40 are in contact with the fitting recess for cushioning and supporting the packaged article 300 over the entire outer surface thereof, and the cushioning ribs 40 have excellent cushioning properties. Since it is made of corrugated cardboard, the packing 201 exhibits a cushioning performance comparable to that of the conventional foam polystyrene packing.

When a large impact force exceeding the expected level is exerted, the buffer ribs 40 or the outer wall surfaces of the packing 201 and the top surface portion provided with the buffer folds X are buckled and deformed. This excessive impact force is effectively attenuated, and the packaged article 300 is reliably protected. The cushioning rib 40 is
Since it is formed in a double wall shape with a U-shaped cross section, it can withstand a considerable impact force, and since its lower end surface is located slightly elevated from the bottom surface of the packing 201, the outer wall surface 2,
After the buckling deformation of 3, 31, 32 due to the impact force to damp the impact force, the cushioning rib 40 subsequently receives the impact force, and exhibits a two-stage cushioning function.
Further, if the portion of the packaged article 300 having poor strength is made to face the hole (see FIG. 5) formed behind the U-shaped cut 12 provided on the side surface 6 of the concave portion, this insufficient strength portion is formed into the concave portion. The side surface 6 can be brought into sufficient abutment with a cushion.

9 to 15 show the packing 20 of the second embodiment.
2 is shown. The main difference from the packing 201 of the first embodiment is the shape of the recess side surface 17. That is, the fitting recess S formed on the upper surface of the packing 202 shown in FIG.
The concave side surface 17 forming a part of the peripheral wall is formed into a curved surface so that the concave side surface 17 can be brought into close contact with the curved side surface of the packaged article 300. Therefore, the parallel folds I and J provided on the corrugated cardboard 102 (FIG. 9) for folding the packing 202 each have a plurality of steps (six steps in this case), and these folds have an arc shape as a whole. I am trying to make it. Then, a plurality of (five) step gaps 50 connecting the parallel folds I and J facing each other are provided. 51

In the above structure, the shape of the fitting recess S can be variously changed according to the outer shape of the packaged article 300. Further, the formation position, the number, the shape, etc. of the cushioning ribs 40 may be appropriately selected so as to obtain the best cushioning effect for various packaged articles, and the dimensions of each part of the packing 201, 202. Of course, the packaging article 300

As is clear from the above description, the folding corrugated cardboard packing according to the present invention exhibits various practical advantages as listed below, as compared with the conventional foam polystyrene packing. . (A) It can be provided at a lower cost because it can be made by simply providing a crease or punching on one sheet of cardboard. (B) Since it can be stored and transported in a flat and compact form, storage and transportation costs are greatly reduced. (C) Contribute to waste of oil resources. (D) It occurs with the large-scale disposal of Styrofoam,
The problem of garbage disposal can be solved. (E) Then, by appropriately changing the position, the number, the shape, etc. of the cushioning ribs, or by forming the cushioning ribs into a double wall structure with a U-shaped cross section, the cushioning characteristics of the packing can be improved. It can be varied to best suit the individual packaged item. (F) Since a stepped portion can be provided at the rim of the fitting recess and the side surface of the recess can be formed into a curved surface, even packed articles of various irregular shapes can be tightly fitted in the fitting recess without looseness. It is possible to fit the above-mentioned to each other, and a sufficiently high cushioning effect can be obtained. (G) By making the outer wall surface and the side surface of the concave portion side by side with two corrugated cardboards overlapping,
It is possible to give the packing a required pressure resistance.
Further, compared with the packing made by stacking the conventional corrugated cardboard pieces, the cushioning performance is remarkably excellent, and the packing can be made much more efficiently and cheaply.
