Abstract

【発明の詳細な説明】 【産業上の利用分野】本発明は、荷物を格納したり、ト
ラックや貨車に荷物を積載したり、積み下ろす時に、フ
ォークリフト等で簡単に荷役作業を行える為に使用する
パレットに関するものである。 【従来の技術】従来のパレットは木製のものが主流であ
るが、近年プラスチック製のものも出回って来た。ま
た、ダンボール製や、使用時の組立て形ダンボールパレ
ットも提案されたが強度的な問題やコストの問題で汎用
化には到っていない。 【発明の解決すべき問題点】木製のものは安価であるが
大切な木材の資源を使用する問題があり、寿命も短かっ
た。プラスチック製のものは、長寿命であるが、反面高
価でありさらに廃棄処分が非常に困難である等の、夫々
に問題を抱えていた。また、従来のパレットは固定化さ
れた形状であるが、パレットはその機能上フォークリフ
トのフォークを入れる間隔が必要であり、その間隔を常
に保持する為、フォークを入れない時はその間隔がデッ
ドスペースとなり、無駄な大きさとなっていた。この為
パレット製造メーカーの在庫や、パレットを使用する事
業者の保管に大きなスペースが必要となり、保管費用が
必要となった。さらにパレット製造メーカーが出荷した
り、事業者間でパレットを移動する際も無駄なスペース
が多く、運賃が必要以上に計上された。現在梱包費用を
削減する為、製品を個箱に入れ、さらにそれを大箱に入
れる梱包方法から、パレットに乗せるだけのパレット包
装が急増しているが、パレット自体に問題があり、充分
に合理化することが出来なかった。本発明は、これらの
問題点を解決する為になされたもので、パレットを使用
しない時の無駄なスペースを減少させ、在庫スペースや
運賃を少なくし、しかも長寿命で、環境問題を起さない
パレットを提供することを目的とする。 【問題点を解決する為の手段】本発明は、一定の強度を
有する一枚又は複数に分割した表面板と、その表面板の
下方に吸気及び排気弁を備え、且つその吸気及び排気弁
から流入する気体又は液体の内圧により収縮又は膨張す
る基布より成る空気室とから構成し、該空気室の膨張時
に表面板の下方に基布の膨張による空間を形成するもの
である。 【作用】使用するには吸気弁を兼ねる逆止弁から自動車
の排気ガス又はコンプレッサーにより気体又は液体を入
れ、流通路を介して基布で形成される各空気室の内部に
圧入し、該空気室を膨らませる。これにより表面板と流
通路からなる骨組みの間にフォークリフトの爪が入る空
間を形成する。パレットの使用が終わり現状の大きさで
は邪魔な場合や、パレットを輸送するには、排気弁から
空気室及び流通路の気体又は液体を排出し、空気室を縮
めて、さらに表面板と骨組みとの間の空間をなくし、パ
レット全体の厚さを表面板と空気室及び流通路を構成す
る基布の厚さだけに薄くすることが出来る。この時表面
板が分割されている構造の場合は、さらに折り畳むこと
が出来る。 【実施例】本発明の一実施例を説明すると、1はPV
C、ABS、PP、PE等の強化プラスチック発泡板か
らなる厚さ約20mmの表面板で、その下面には一定の
間隔で空気室2が配置されている。該空気室2は、ポリ
エステル又はナイロン等の基布材の両面にPVC、EV
A、ポリオレフィン等をコーティングした厚さ約1mm
のラミネートフィルムを、気液密に袋状に密封形成した
ものである。図示のものは、表面板1の下面に隅部及び
対角線上に9個、等間隔に配置した。3は空気又は液体
を入れる吸気弁を兼ねる逆止弁である。4は空気室内部
に入った気体又は液体を抜く為の排気弁である。5は逆
止弁3及び排気弁4と各空気室2を連絡し、空気又は液
体を各空気室2に流入させたり流出する為の流通路で、
この流通路は空気又は気体を入れた時、骨組みとしても
働く。第3図は空気室に気体を入れ空気室を膨張させた
断面図で、上面板1と流通路5の間にフォークの爪を入
れる空間6を形成させる。なお実施例では、表面板1に
プラスチック板を使用したが、軽いアルミ等の金属板を
使用しても良いし、適当数に分割形成してもよい。 【考案の効果】以上のように本発明によると、パレット
使用時のみ空気室に気体又は液体を圧入し、パレットを
フォークの爪の入る空間を有する従来からのパレットと
同様の大きさにし、不使用時は空気又は液体を抜き、パ
レットを上面板と空気室及び流通路を形成する布の厚さ
だけに薄くすることが出来るので、無駄なスペースがな
くなり、従来のようにパレット不使用時や輸送時にかさ
ばることがない。この為在庫費用や輸送費用が大幅に合
理化できる効果を奏する。表面板を複数個に分割形成
し、折り畳み可能とすれば、更に効果を大とことが出来
る。また本発明のパレットは、合成樹脂製であるので、
大切な木材資源を使用しなくてすみ、しかも表面材のみ
にプラスチック板を使用し、骨組みはナイロン布等によ
り構成したので、合成樹脂の使用量が極めて小量である
ので、安価にかつ廃棄処分も比較的容易に行うことがで
き、地球環境の面からも優れた効果を有する。さらに従
来のように、骨組み全体を木材又は合成樹脂で形成した
場合に比べ、気体又は液体の圧力により構成したので、
極めて軽くすることができ、この為、製造中及び荷役時
の作業性が極めて容易に行える等数々の効果を奏し、そ
の実用価値極めて大なるものである。
