Abstract

PURPOSE:To attain fluent conversation after connection by delivering a signal of end of connection to an external line and a transfer destination awaiting transfer connection in voice with a signal tone so as to make start of talking clear. CONSTITUTION:While a telephone set A is busy with an external line, a channel switch circuit 3 connects the telephone set A and an external line being a telephone line 1. The telephone set A uses a holding circuit 6 to hold the external line to call a telephone set B. The channel switch circuit 3 connects respectively the external line and the holding circuit 6 and the telephone sets A, B. The telephone set A informs the transfer of the external line to the telephone set B and hooks on. A channel control circuit 4 of the telephone set 7 detects on-hook state of the telephone set A, then the circuit 4 connects the external line to the telephone set B and a signal tone transmission circuit 5. Thus, the signal tone is sent to the external line and the telephone set B and while the signal tone transmission circuit 5 is disconnected and the external line and the telephone set B are connected, the transfer operation is finished.
