[Technical Background of the Invention] A conventional spiral heating element will be described with reference to FIGS. 3 and 4. In FIGS. 3 and 4, for example, SiC
The hollow cylindrical main body 1 is made up of two parts from one end along one side of the main body 1 along the longitudinal direction of the main body 1, and a spiral part is formed from the central part of the main body 1 to the other end. Two grooves 2, 2 are cut. This main body 1 has spacers 3 and 3 made of alumina, for example, sandwiched in grooves 2 and 2 on one end side, and then a part of the main body 1 is sandwiched by anti-circular fastening jigs 4 and 4 made of alumina, for example. It is tightened by winding the metal belt 5 around the outer circumference. Further, stainless steel anti-circular metal terminal fittings 6 1 and 6 2 are attached to the outer periphery of one end side of the main body 1 in which the spacers 3 and 3 are sandwiched, and these terminal metal fittings 6 1 and 6 2 are spacers. It is fixed by bolts 7, 7 and nuts 8, 8 penetrating through 3, 3. Lead wires 9 1 , respectively are attached to the terminal fittings 6 1 , 6 2 .
9 2 is connected.

In the above spiral heating element, the electric current passes through the route of the lead wire 9 1 , the terminal fitting 6 1 , the main body 1, the terminal fitting 6 2 and the lead wire 9 2 , but the main body 1 is made of high resistance SiC, and the spiral wire is used. Since it has a long current flow path, large Joule heat is generated.

However, in the conventional terminal structure of the spiral heating element, a gap is generated between the main body 1 made of SiC and the terminal metal fittings 6 1 , 6 2 made of stainless steel due to a difference in thermal expansion coefficient between the two when used for a long time. As a result, the contact resistance becomes large, and it becomes difficult for current to flow to the main body 1, which causes heat generation failure.

The present invention has been made in order to solve the above-mentioned drawbacks, and an object thereof is to provide a spiral heating element which does not cause heat generation failure even if it is used for a long time by changing the terminal structure.

The spiral heating element of the present invention is composed of a cylindrical non-metallic hollow tube and has a main body in which two grooves are cut so as to partially form a spiral shape at two positions at one end thereof. In the body, holes are respectively formed in two opposing portions of the body which are separated by two grooves at one end side and are insulated by the spacer, and these holes are made of a material having substantially the same thermal expansion coefficient as that of the body. It is characterized in that terminals are inserted and joined, and terminal fittings are provided at the tips of these terminals.

According to such a spiral heating element, since the terminal fitting is separated from the main body, the terminal fitting is less likely to loosen due to heat conduction, and heat generation failure due to an increase in contact resistance can be reduced.

In FIGS. 1 and 2, a hollow cylindrical main body 11 made of, for example, SiC extends from the central portion of the main body 11 to the other end side along the longitudinal direction of the main body 11 at two portions from one end to one end side. Two grooves 12, 12 are formed so as to form a spiral shape at the portion. This main body 11 has, for example, a spacer 13 made of alumina, which is sandwiched between the grooves 12 on one end side, and then a part of the main body 11 is sandwiched by anti-arc tightening jigs 14, 14 made of alumina, for example. It is tightened by winding the metal belt 15. Also, the main body 1
Terminals 16 1 and 16 2 are attached to the two portions separated by the grooves 12 and 12 on one end side and the spacer 13 sandwiched between the grooves 12 and 12, respectively. These terminals 16 1 and 16 2 are made of Si-impregnated SiC rods, inserted into holes formed in the main body 11, and adhesively impregnated with an adhesive paste 17 containing Si. Furthermore, these terminals 1
Terminal fittings 18 1 and 18 2 are attached to the tips of 6 1 and 16 2 by bolts 19 and 19 and nuts (not shown), and lead wires 20 1 and 18 1 are attached to these terminal fittings 18 1 and 18 2 .
20 2 is connected.

According to such a spiral heating element, the terminal fitting 18
Since 1 and 18 2 are attached to the tips of the terminals 16 1 and 16 2 and are separated from the main body 11, the terminal fittings 18 1 and 18 2 do not loosen due to heat conduction even when used for a long time, and the contact resistance is reduced. The heat generation failure due to the increase can be reduced.
