[Prior Art] Conventionally, a makeup method such as a building material using a paint is applied by a spray, a flow coater or a roll coater, and a single color or at most two colors are applied. Further, as a method of applying the spotted pattern, there is a method of applying a brushing roll, but it is difficult to reproducibly form the spotted pattern and it is difficult to freely change the size of the spots.
There is also a method of coating and patterning while moving the spray gun with a reciprocator, but it is very difficult to set conditions such as the plate conveying speed, the reciprocator speed, and the spray pattern. There are also methods such as screen printing and gravure printing, but it is very difficult when the substrate has irregularities.

The base material to be coated is used as an exterior material or an interior material, and is made of a ceramic material or other material, and if necessary, irregularities are formed on the surface. FIG. 3 shows an example of a base material, which is Multisided manufactured by Matsushita Exterior Building Materials Co., Ltd. This is made of a ceramic material, and concave portions 3 are formed in a lattice pattern on the surface of the base material 1 to form concave portions by the concave portions 3 and the surface other than the concave portions 3 is formed as a convex portion, and irregularities are provided on the surface. Dimensions of each part of this substrate 1 a, b, c, d, e, f,
g and h are a = 454.5mm, b = 56.81mm, c = 6mm, d = 152mm, e = 6m
m, f = 15.0 mm, g = 3.0 mm, h = 12.0 mm. The surface of the base material 1 is coated with a spot-like pattern with a spray gun 2. The color difference ΔE is 5 or more different from that of the paint used for the spot-like patterning before the spot-like patterning. And then apply spots on it. The color difference ΔE in the present invention is a value obtained from the Hunter color difference formula. Hu
The color difference formula in nter's L, a, b color system is ΔE (L, a, b) =
[(ΔL) 2 + (Δa) 2 + (Δb) 2 ] 1/2 , L represents lightness, and a and b represent chromaticity coordinates. The paint that applies a speckled pattern contains a pigment and has a viscosity of 500 cP measured by a B-type viscometer.
Hereinafter, thixotropy having a ratio of 6 rpm / 60 rpm of 3 to 7 is used, but these numerical values are limited for the following reason. When the viscosity of the paint is higher than 500cP by B type viscometer, the spray pattern is not stable. Also in thixotropy,
If the ratio of B-type viscometer 6 rpm / 60 rpm is less than 3, atomization is likely to occur and beautiful spots are unlikely to be formed, and if it exceeds 7, the spray nozzle of the spray gun is likely to be clogged. The pigment, solvent, and type of the coating material are not particularly limited, but as the pigment concentration, a pigment content (PWC) of 30 or more is preferable. When it is less than 30, the hiding property is poor and the spotted pattern is less noticeable. Further, it is preferable to use a paint having good weather resistance as the paint to be used, since the applied pattern does not change forever. For example, fluorine paint, modified silicone paint, inorganic paint and the like can be mentioned. The base material 1 to be coated is coated with the spray gun 2 in a state in which it is not atomized or is hardly atomized. When painting 1
When painting with two spray guns, use within 60% of the center of the spray pattern, and when using multiple spray guns, between 40% and 60% of the spray pattern
It is characterized by overlapping within. The relationship between the width BL of the substrate 1 to be coated and the spray pattern is as follows. First of all, when painting with one spray gun 2, as shown in FIG.
It is necessary to paint within%. In other words, when the width BL of the substrate 1 to be coated is GL and the spray pattern width is GL, GL ×
The relationship is 0.6 ≧ BL. If the width of the coated substrate 1 is wider than that, the speckled pattern formed in the width direction of the substrate 1 is not uniform in the width direction. Further, even when a plurality of spray guns 2 are used, the spot-like pattern is not uniform in the width direction unless the overlapping of the spray patterns is 40% or more and 60% or less as shown in FIG. That is, when the overlap of the spray patterns is W and the width of the spray patterns is GL, 0.6 × GL ≧ W ≧ 0.4 × GL. If the discharge rate of the coating material is less than 100 cc / min or exceeds 400 cc / min, the speckled pattern on the substrate 1 is not continuously stable. When a plurality of spray guns 2 are used, the difference in spray pattern width and discharge amount is within 5%. Substrate 1
After painting the spotted pattern on the, according to the paint,
Set and dry. The speckled coating may be applied several times.

Further, in the method for makeup of a building material of the present invention, unevenness is provided on the base material, the color of the concave portion and the color of the convex portion are changed, and a spotted pattern is formed with a paint having a color difference ΔE with the color of the concave portion of 0.7 or less. Is also preferable. When the color difference ΔE exceeds 0.7, the distinction between the concave portion and the spot-like pattern is so conspicuous that the appearance is not good.

[Operation] By applying the coating as described above, a spotted pattern can be continuously formed with good reproducibility even on a base material having irregularities.

This example is almost the same as the above example, except that the convex portions of the base material shown in FIG. 3 were coated with a roll coater, and then the patterning was carried out in the same manner as the above examples. As a result of investigating the patterning condition under different conditions, the result is as shown in Table 2.
In the method of the present invention, it was found that the color difference between the convex portion and the concave portion was identified, and the spot pattern was identified only in the convex portion.
