[Detailed description of the invention] This invention relates to radiation protection gloves, and its purpose is to protect the hands and arms of the operator when performing X-ray examinations or surgery on patients under X-ray irradiation. To provide a protective tool that protects people from X-rays and other radiation damage and allows manual work to be carried out easily without any hindrance.

Conventionally, gloves made of lead-containing rubber have been known to protect hands when working under X-ray irradiation, but due to the nature of lead-containing rubber, a high degree of flexibility cannot be obtained, and the thickness is limited. Due to the restrictions, wearing these made it difficult to move the hands and fingers, making it difficult to perform delicate fingertip operations such as surgery, and making it difficult to perform adequate procedures. Also, since you have to grip instruments through thick lead-containing rubber, the feel becomes dull.
This had the disadvantage of causing a sense of discomfort and significantly interfering with work.

Therefore, in order to allow direct contact of the fingers and palm of the patient's body, a depression was formed on the bottom surface of the X-ray protection plate, which is shaped like an open hand, so that each finger and the back of the hand can fit into it. , an X-ray protective gauntlet in which each finger and palm are tied together with a band has been proposed (Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 54-64900). However, with this configuration, each finger and palm are tied directly to the protective plate, which restricts the movement of the fingers, making palpation possible, but hindering angiography, enema photography, surgery, etc. It has the disadvantage that it does not provide the bare-handed feel and freedom of movement of the fingertips required for delicate work.
It cannot handle this kind of work. In addition, there were other problems, such as the need for cleaning and disinfection before reuse, and the time and effort required to attach and detach the device during use.

As a result of intensive research, the inventor of this invention has eliminated these conventional drawbacks and created a tool that allows manual operations such as surgery and other operations to be carried out without any change in movement or sensation, and that can protect against X-ray damage. It is something.

That is, the present invention has a lead-containing sheet 4 of the same shape inside a flat bag-shaped outer skin 1 formed in a substantially tongue shape so as to integrally cover the back of the hand and the upper surface of the arm using a synthetic resin film or sheet. This radiation protection glove is equipped with a palm locking piece 2 on the back side of the outer skin, and an arm fixing band 3 on the arm near the wrist.

FIG. 1 is a plan view showing a part of the outer cover cut away, FIG. 2 is a rear view, and FIG. 3 is a sectional view taken along line A-A'.
1 is the outer cover, which is usually made of two vinyl resin sheets or other synthetic resin films or sheets and sealed around them to form a flat bag shape, and is shaped like the back of the hand so that the upper part of the arm and back of the hand can be sufficiently covered. A lead-containing sheet 4 is charged inside. The lead equivalent of the lead-containing sheet is usually relatively high, 0.35 mmPb to 0.5 mmPb, and a highly flexible sheet made of lead-containing rubber or lead-containing vinyl is used. Reference numeral 2 denotes a palm locking piece provided on the back side, into which the palm is inserted and locked, as shown in FIG. In the illustrated example, both ends are fixed to the outer cover, but a Velcro band may be used so that it can be adjusted according to the size of the user's hand. Reference numeral 3 denotes a fixing band which is fixed by being wrapped around the arm or near the wrist. This is convenient because it can be removed for cleaning if it is a buckle type that uses removable magic tape.

As mentioned above, the outer cover is usually made of synthetic resin film or other materials that can withstand repeated sterilization.
A type that is easy to clean and remove adhered dirt such as blood stains is used, but it is also possible to use a disposable type and replace only the outer cover each time. In this case, it is preferable to have a structure that has a sealing part that can be opened and closed so that the lead-containing sheet 4 inside the interior can be easily taken in and taken out. In any case, it is best to use a flexible material that adheres well to the arms and back of the hand and does not feel uncomfortable.

Since the present invention is constructed as described above, all you have to do is insert your palm into the locking piece 2, lock it near the base of your thumb, and tighten it around your arm with the fixing band 3, as shown in Figure 4. It is extremely easy to put on and take off, and the finger movements are not restricted in any way, and the lead-containing sheet 4 inside the outer skin 1 blocks radiation such as X-rays, allowing you to grasp medical instruments and perform treatments. You can perform delicate operations such as operations as easily and safely as you would with your bare hands. It is easy to disinfect and clean after use, and only the outer cover needs to be replaced after each use, and the lead-containing sheet can be used repeatedly, so it is economically advantageous. Conventional gloves made of lead-containing sheets themselves were not only difficult to use, but also time-consuming to disinfect and clean, and were expensive due to high production costs, but the present invention solves all of these drawbacks. The practical effects are extremely large.
