(Prior Art) The barrel of a writing instrument that houses a batting filled with ink must have excellent gas barrier properties in order to suppress volatilization of the ink. Therefore, most of the barrels of conventional writing instruments of this kind have been made of materials with excellent gas barrier properties such as plastic, metals such as aluminum and steel, or glass. However, barrels made of such materials have the following problems. first,
A single plastic barrel cannot be used because the xylene or toluene in the oil-based ink penetrates into the plastic, causing it to swell and deform. Also,
Although barrels made of metal or glass do not have such restrictions, metals have plasticity, so during mass transportation, external shocks and contact between individual writing instruments can cause unevenness and scratches, reducing the product value. This results in a decrease in Furthermore, glass barrels are heavy, which increases transportation costs and causes breakage.
In addition, there are design constraints because it is difficult to print various colors on the glass itself, and labels must be pasted in a separate process, leading to a rise in manufacturing costs.

(Problems to be Solved by the Invention) Therefore, the present invention provides a barrel that has excellent gas barrier properties and can prevent ink from volatilizing. Moreover, the barrel is lightweight, has a good feel, is hard to slip,
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a low-pollution writing instrument that has good shock absorption properties, excellent printability, allows for significant cost reduction, and has a barrel that can be disposed of by incineration.

(Means for Solving the Problems) In order to achieve the above object, in the writing instrument of the present invention, a batting 10 filled with ink is housed inside, and a tip shaft 9 holding a pen core 8 is joined to the tip. However, in a writing instrument using a barrel 1 having a structure in which a tail plug 11 is fixed to the rear end, the barrel 1 is made of paper as a base material and a synthetic resin, metal, etc. having barrier properties is formed by spiral molding. It is formed using a composite material 2 laminated together.

(Function) The composite material 2 that forms the barrel 1 has a structure in which paper is used as the base material, and synthetic resin, metal, etc. having barrier properties are laminated thereon, so that the volatilization of ink from the barrel 1 can be suppressed. . Moreover, since this composite material 2 is based on paper, it is light, has a good feel, and has good shock absorption properties. Furthermore, since paper is used as the base material, it has good printability and can be disposed of by incineration.
Moreover, since the composite material 2 is laminated by spiral molding, the helical portion of the spiral serves as an appropriate anti-slip material.

The shaft tube 1 is formed using a composite material 2 made of paper as a base material and a synthetic resin having barrier properties, metal, etc. laminated by spiral molding, and has a cross-sectional structure as shown enlarged in the figure. have. That is,
From the outside side, first, aluminum foil label paper 3a whose back side is made of kraft paper, then liner papers 3b and 3c are polymerized in two layers, and a PE layer (polyethylene layer) 4 with a thickness of about 50 μm is formed on the inside surface by coating or the like. , an aluminum vapor deposition layer 5 with a thickness of about 600 Å is formed on its inner surface.
A PET layer (polyester layer) 6 with a thickness of about 15μ and having a PET layer 6 on one side is laminated so that the aluminum vapor deposited layer 5 is on the outside, and finally a PE layer 7 with a thickness of about 50μ is placed on the innermost side.

The composite material 2 laminated by spiral molding is not limited to the above structure as long as it uses paper as the base material, and the type and order of the barrier materials to be added,
The thickness, number of layers, etc. are free. For example, in order to improve the ink volatilization prevention effect, that is, to improve gas barrier properties and water resistance, the thickness of the aluminum vapor deposited layer 5 may be increased, and the PE layer 4, It is also possible to change 7 to a PET layer or a PP layer (polypropylene layer). Also,
The type of paper is not limited to the above-mentioned liner papers 3b and 3c; for example, it is also possible to use specially treated paper with excellent waterproof properties.

In addition, compared to flat-rolled composite materials, which are formed from pre-laminated flat plates into a cylinder, spiral-formed composite materials can increase forming speed because they are laminated while being rolled. Since it is a composite material that is bonded together, its sealing properties are improved and proper molding operations are possible.
