して鉄鋼製のものが使用されている。しかしながら、鉄
鋼製のものは、圧力の変動に対抗するためのボルトナッ
トやネジを強く締めつけても充分耐えられるだけの強度
を有する反面、乾燥と湿潤を繰り返す環境下のため、防
食性塗料により充分な防錆対策をほどこさなければなら
ない。その上、塗料の塗り替えは3〜6ケ月毎に行わな
ければならない。加えて、整流板には4〜6mmの鉄鋼
板を用いるので、大へん重く取扱いが大へんであった。
