[Industrial applications]

The present invention relates to a back frame having side frame members mounted on both sides of a seat back and a substantially U-shaped upper frame member connecting upper ends of both side frame members.

【0002】[0002]

[Prior Art]

As a conventional back frame of this type, there are, for example, those shown in FIGS. 6 and 7. That is, as shown in FIG. 6, the back frame 1 installed in the seat back includes side frame members 2 and 2 on both sides formed by bending a pipe member in a rectangular shape, and an upper frame member 3 connecting the upper ends thereof. It is integrally formed, and plate members 2a and 2a are welded to both side frame members 2 and 2.

Such a back frame 1 receives an impact load from a seated person at the time of a vehicle collision by the entire pipe member forming the side frame members 2 and 2, and has a large plasticity as shown by a two-dot broken line in FIG. It was set to absorb the impact force by deforming.

【0004】[0004]

[Problems to be solved by the device]

However, in such a conventional back frame, since the side frame members 2 and 2 totally absorb the impact load from the seated person at the time of a vehicle collision, the upper half side of each side frame member 2 is largely deformed rearward. As a result, the seated person's body cannot be properly held in the event of a collision, and there is a problem that the seated person's safety is not taken into consideration.

On the other hand, when the rigidity is increased in order to suppress the deformation of the side frame members 2 and 2, the impact load from the seated person cannot be sufficiently absorbed at the time of a collision, resulting in poor safety of the seated person and an increase in weight. There was a problem.

The present invention has been made in view of such a conventional problem, and it is possible to sufficiently absorb the impact load from a seated person while maintaining the overall shape at the time of a vehicle collision, which causes an increase in weight. The purpose is to provide a back frame that can improve the safety of the seated person.

[Means for Solving the Problems]

The gist of achieving this object is that the side frame members (20, 20) installed on both sides of the seat back and the upper ends of the side frame members (20, 20) are connected in a substantially U shape. In a back frame (10) having an upper frame member (30), the both side frame members (20, 20) each extend in the longitudinal direction and have a plurality of hollow portions which are divided into at least a seating surface side and a back surface side. (21, 21a, 24) has a closed cross-sectional shape, and the side frame member (20) has a shape in which the hollow portion (24) on the back side is less likely to be plastically deformed even in the event of a vehicle collision and can support a seated person. While the holding portion (25) is provided, the hollow portion (21, 21a) on the seating surface side is plastically deformed on the seating surface side of the shape holding portion (25) in order to absorb the impact load from the seated person at the time of a vehicle collision. You Providing impact absorbing portion (23) resides in the back frame (10), characterized in.

[Action]

Both side frame members (20, 20) constituting both sides of the back frame (10) are formed so as to have a closed cross-sectional shape composed of a plurality of hollow portions (21, 21a, 24) extending in the longitudinal direction. Therefore, the rigidity of both sides of the back frame (10) can be increased without increasing the weight.

An impact load from a seated person during a vehicle collision is received by the shape retaining portion (25) provided on the side frame material (20), and the side frame material (20) corresponding to the shape retaining portion (25) is received. Since the hollow part (24) on the back side of () is hard to be plastically deformed, the entire side frame members (20) are not largely deformed rearward, and the body of the occupant can be properly supported at the time of a collision. Can be held.

On the other hand, the impact load from the occupant at the time of vehicle collision is appropriately absorbed by the impact absorbing portion (23) provided on the seating surface side of the shape retaining portion (25), and the impact absorbing portion (23). Acts as a cushion for the seated person in the event of a vehicle collision. That is, when the impact absorbing portion (23) receives an impact load from a seated person, the hollow portion (21, 21a) on the seating surface side of the side frame member (20) corresponding to the impact absorbing portion (23) is changed. It absorbs impact loads while undergoing plastic deformation.

Accordingly, even in the event of a collision, the seated person can properly hold his / her body on the back frame (10) while sufficiently absorbing the impact load.

An embodiment of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. 1 to 5 show an embodiment of the present invention. As shown in FIG. 1, a back frame 10 installed inside a seat back (not shown) of a vehicle seat includes a side frame member 20, 20 on both sides and an upper end of each side frame member 20, 20. And an upper frame member 30 for tying. An underframe material 40 is fixed to the lower end of each side frame material 30.

As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the both side frame members 20 and 20 and the upper frame member 30 are frame members having a closed cross-sectional shape extruded from a light alloy containing aluminum as a main component. , Is formed integrally by bending into a substantially U shape.

Each of the side frame members 20, 20 has a shock absorbing portion 23 extending in the longitudinal direction on the seating surface side, a shape retaining portion 25 connected to the back side of the shock absorbing portion 23, and extending in the longitudinal direction as well. It has a rear shock absorbing portion 28 extending continuously to the back side of the shape holding portion 25.

Inside the shape retaining portion 25, a main hollow portion 24 into which the upper frame member 30 can be fitted is formed. The main hollow portion 24 is surrounded by an inner wall having a substantially rectangular cross section. The main hollow portion 24 is unlikely to be plastically deformed even in the event of a vehicle collision, and the shape retaining portion 25 forming the outside of the main hollow portion 24 has high rigidity. have. Further, the main hollow portion 24 is opened so as to form a closed cross-sectional shape at the lower end surface of the shape retaining portion 25.

On the other hand, inside the shock absorbing portion 23, there are formed a low shock absorbing hollow portion 21 and a high shock absorbing hollow portion 21a that absorb a shock load from a seated person and plastically deform in a vehicle collision. There is. The low shock absorbing hollow portion 21 is formed to have a wider width than the high shock absorbing hollow portion 21a, and the low shock absorbing hollow portion 21 does not plastically deform the high shock absorbing hollow portion 21a. It is designed to be plastically deformed to absorb even weak impact loads.

As shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, a reinforcing rib 22 for increasing rigidity is formed between the low impact absorbing hollow portion 21 and the high impact absorbing hollow portion 21a. Further, the low shock absorbing hollow portion 21 and the high shock absorbing hollow portion 21 a are opened so that the lower end surface of the shock absorbing portion 23 forms one closed cross-sectional shape.

Similarly, inside the rear shock absorber 28 connected to the back side of the shape retainer 25, for low shock absorption, which absorbs a shock load from a seated person on the rear seat and plastically deforms when a vehicle collision occurs. A hollow portion 26 and a high impact absorbing hollow portion 26a are formed. The low impact absorbing hollow portion 26 has a wider width than the high impact absorbing hollow portion 26a.

The low impact absorbing hollow portion 26 is formed so as to be plastically deformed to absorb a weak impact load so that the high impact absorbing hollow portion 26a is not plastically deformed. A reinforcing rib 27 for increasing rigidity is formed between the low impact absorbing hollow portion 26 and the high impact absorbing hollow portion 26a. Further, the low impact absorbing hollow portion 26 and the high impact absorbing hollow portion 26a are also opened so that the lower end surface of the rear impact absorbing portion 28 forms one closed cross-sectional shape.

As shown in FIG. 1, the underframe material 40 connecting the lower ends of the both side frame materials 20, 20 is formed of a square pipe material bent in a substantially U shape. Both ends of the underframe member 40 are bent at substantially right angles to form fitting portions 41, 41. The fitting portions 41 at both ends of the underframe material 40 are respectively inserted into the lower sides of the main hollow portions 24 opened in the lower end surface 36 of the side frame material 20 and integrally fixed. The side frame members 20 and 20, the upper frame member 30, and the under frame member 40 integrally fixed to the side frame members 20 that are integrally formed on both sides form a substantially rectangular frame body. ..

Next, the operation will be described. The upper frame member 30 and the side frame members 20, 20 on both sides of the upper frame member 30 are formed by extrusion molding from a light alloy containing aluminum as a main component so as to have a closed sectional shape as shown in FIG. As a result, the overall rigidity of the back frame 10 can be increased without increasing the weight.

As shown in FIGS. 2 and 4, the impact load from the seated person at the time of vehicle collision is received by the shape retaining portion 25 of the side frame member 20. Since the shape-retaining portion 25 has rigidity and the main hollow portion 24 inside thereof is less likely to be plastically deformed, each side frame member 20 has a large overall shape with a slight bending and is likely to be deformed rearward. It is possible to properly hold the seated person's body in the event of a collision.

On the other hand, the impact load from the occupant during a vehicle collision is properly absorbed by the impact absorbing portion 23 provided on the seating surface side of the shape retaining portion 25 of the side frame member 20, and the impact absorbing portion 23 is absorbed by the vehicle. It acts as a cushion for the seated person in the event of a collision.

That is, for example, when the impact absorbing portion 23 of the side frame member 20 receives a relatively light impact load from a seated person during a relatively weak vehicle collision, the low impact absorbing hollow portion inside the impact absorbing portion 23. Only 21 absorbs a weak impact load while plastically deforming. Further, when the impact absorbing portion 23 of the side frame member 20 receives a relatively strong impact load from a seated person during a relatively strong vehicle collision, not only the low impact absorbing hollow portion 21 inside the impact absorbing portion 23 is also received. The high impact absorbing hollow portion 21a also plastically deforms as shown in FIGS. 3 and 5, while sufficiently absorbing a strong impact load.

As a result, even in the event of a collision, the occupant can sufficiently absorb the impact load by the impact absorbing portion 23 of the side frame member 20 and properly keep the body on the shape retaining portion 25 of the side frame member 20. The seat back can be held, and the safety of the seat back occupant can be improved. The impact load at the time of collision is appropriately absorbed not only by the side frame member 20 but also by the upper frame member 30 having a closed cross-sectional shape similar to this.

Further, when a seated person of the rear seat collides with the rear side of the side frame member 20 of the seat back located at the front, such as in a vehicle collision, the impact force is the rear impact absorbing portion of the side frame member 20. Since it is properly absorbed by the passenger seat 28, the safety of the seat occupant of the rear seat can be improved.

In the back frame according to the above-described embodiment, both side frame members and the upper frame member are integrally formed. However, both side frame members and the upper frame member are separately formed, and then fixed. You may tie it.

Further, the shapes of the hollow portion and the closed cross section of the side frame material of the back frame according to the embodiment described above are merely examples, and may be changed according to the strength corresponding to the shock absorbing portion and the shape retaining portion. Various other shapes are conceivable. Further, the rear shock absorbing portion in the above-mentioned embodiment may be provided if necessary.

[Effect of the device]

According to the back frame of the present invention, the side frame members on both sides have a closed cross-sectional shape consisting of a plurality of hollow portions extending in the longitudinal direction, and the side frame members are plastically deformed even when a vehicle collision occurs. While the shape-retaining part that is difficult to support the occupant is provided, the seating surface side of the shape-retaining part is provided with the impact-absorbing part that is plastically deformed to absorb the impact load from the occupant during a vehicle collision. Since it is possible to absorb the impact load from the occupant while maintaining its shape, it can properly hold the occupant's body in the event of a collision and play a role of a cushion without increasing the weight. It is possible to improve the safety of the seated person in the event of a vehicle collision.

1. A back frame having side frame members mounted on both sides of a seat back, and a substantially U-shaped upper frame member connecting upper ends of both side frame members, wherein the both side frame members are longitudinal. Has a closed cross-sectional shape consisting of a plurality of hollow portions extending in the direction at least into a seating surface side and a rear surface side, and the rear frame side hollow portion is less likely to be plastically deformed in the side frame material even when a vehicle collides. While a shape-retaining portion capable of supporting a person is provided, a shock-absorbing portion is provided on the seating surface side of the shape-retaining portion, in which the hollow portion on the seating surface side is plastically deformed so as to absorb an impact load from a seated person in a vehicle collision. A back frame characterized by that.
