Conventionally, waste disposal sites that have been widely used have been shallow disposal sites. These shallow disposal sites have a maximum depth of about 6 to 10 meters and require a large area for the amount of waste to be disposed of, making it difficult to construct them in urban areas where land prices are high. In addition, rubber sheets are spread over the entire surface to prevent leachate from dispersing from dumped waste, but if the sheets are damaged, sewage may leak out.
This can easily lead to environmental pollution such as contamination with groundwater. In addition, the odor spreads, and in order to prevent this spread, it is necessary to line the site as waste is dumped, leading to other problems such as not being able to effectively utilize the full capacity of the disposal site.

Recently, as shown in Figure 5, a deep disposal site with an underground cylindrical waste dumping space surrounded by a continuous underground wall 2 that reaches an impermeable layer 1 and a see-through structure 3 installed at the bottom has been developed. Proposed. Deep disposal sites have a large disposal volume compared to the land area, and there is no risk of environmental deterioration due to sewage or odors. However, since surrounding underground water pressure acts on the underground continuous wall, it is difficult to excavate deeply to near the bottom of the continuous wall 2, so it is necessary to attach a reinforcing ring 4, etc. to give it strength to withstand large earth pressure. In addition, it is necessary to install a water-blocking structure, which results in high costs. Therefore, deep disposal sites are good in urban areas where land costs are high, but they are not necessarily advantageous in other areas.

This invention was made in view of the above-mentioned problems. The purpose is to propose a waste disposal site that has a large waste disposal volume compared to the land area, is inexpensive to construct, and is free from the risk of environmental pollution due to sewage and odors.

Figure 1 shows the waste disposal site of this invention.
It has an underground cylindrical waste disposal space 5 surrounded by an underground continuous wall 2 that reaches an impermeable layer 1. This space 5 is filled with water 6, and its water level 7 is slightly lower than the underground water level 8 outside the underground continuous wall 2.
Further, a spherical roof 9 is attached to cover the upper surface of the space 5.

As the water rises, an attached pump (not shown) pumps up the water in the space and maintains the water level slightly lower than the groundwater level 8 outside.

This waste disposal site will be constructed in the order of steps shown in Figures 2, 3, and 4. First, a continuous underground wall 2 is built that reaches the impermeable layer 1 (Figure 2), and excavated while keeping the water level 7 inside the wall the same as the water level 8 outside (Figure 3). A waste dumping space 5 filled with water 6 is formed by excavating near the impermeable layer 1, and a roof 9 is attached to the top of the space 5 to construct a disposal site (Fig. 4).

This waste disposal site has the above structure, and the waste dumping space is filled with water, and the water level is slightly lower than the groundwater level outside. Therefore, the water pressure difference between the inside and outside of the continuous wall is small, and a deep dumping space that reaches near the impermeable layer can be formed without special reinforcement of the continuous wall, making it possible to construct a large-capacity deep waste disposal site at low cost. Can be built. The sewage inside the space does not flow out, and since it is a deep disposal site, it is difficult for odors to spread. Since the surrounding continuous wall reaches the impermeable layer, there is no need for a bottom waterproofing work.

The waste disposal site of this invention has a large volume compared to the land area, and is inexpensive to construct. The disposal site cost per unit volume of waste is low, and is 1/2 that of conventional deep disposal sites. It will be about. Furthermore, environmental deterioration due to sewage odor and the like can be prevented.
