上記従来技術の具体構造では、次の問題がある。 (イ)エンジンを複数種の機械に搭載するにあたり、その搭載の条件によって、 エンジンへのマフラの取付状態を変えないで、排気ガスをマフラから排出する方 向を、標準の正方向にしたい場合と、これとは反対側となる逆方向にしたい場合 とがある。 図2の正(右)方向排気マフラと逆(左)方向排気マフラとは、排気入口管3 の出口3a・一次消音室6aの出口孔6d及び排気出口5の各開口位置を互いに 左右逆にしなければならないため、共通化する事ができず、個別に製造しなけれ ばならない。 (ロ)図2の正方向排気マフラの場合、排気入口管3から一次消音室6aの右側 の広い部分6eに排気が噴入される。 これに対し、逆方向排気マフラの場合、その反対側の狭い室部分6fに排気ガ スが噴入される。 このため、正方向排気マフラと逆方向排気マフラとでは、排気ガスの一次消音 室6aでの噴入・流動の条件が大きく異なるため、消音性能、及び排気抵抗に差 が出る。 本考案は、エンジンのマフラの取付状態を変えないで、正方向排気マフラと逆 方向排気マフラとを共通化する事、及び正方向排気マフラと逆方向排気マフラ間 で、消音性能及び排気抵抗に差が出ないようにする事、を課題とする。 The specific structure of the above prior art has the following problems.
