Examples of conventional lamps of this type include those shown in Figures 4 to 8 (see Service Bulletin No. 440, page 258, published by Nissan Motor Co., Ltd., June 1980). The ones shown in FIGS. 5 to 5 are lamps used for rear combination lamps such as turn signal lamps and stop lamps of vehicles.
The housing 101 has a rectangular shape as a whole, and a groove-shaped outer frame portion 103 having parallel outer frame pieces 103a and inner frame pieces 103b is formed around the housing 101. An intermediate frame piece 105 is formed in parallel inside the outer frame part 103, and the housing 101 is connected to a plurality of light chambers 1 by this intermediate frame piece 105.
It is divided into 07 sections. That is, the intermediate frame piece 105 and the outer frame portion 103 constitute a frame 109 of each lamp chamber 107. Each lamp chamber 107 is provided with a bulb 111 as a light source and a reflector 113 that reflects the light rays from the bulb 111. Furthermore, a lattice-shaped lens 115 made up of a plurality of prism elements 117 is provided on the front surface of the housing 101 . Each prism element 117 is formed into a square shape with good light distribution performance and little light distribution loss.
Each prism element 117 is provided parallel to each side of the frame 109, with a plane facing outside and a convex surface 117a facing inside, which is the reflector 113 side. Around the lens 115 is the reflector 11

The light emitted from the bulb 111 and reflected by the reflector 113 becomes parallel light rays as shown by the arrows in FIG. 5, enters the lens 115, and is diffused by each prism element 117 of the lens 115. At this time, since each prism element 117 is formed in a square shape, it is possible to perform diffusion with good light distribution performance and little light distribution loss.

However, the frame 1 consisting of the inner frame piece 103b and the intermediate frame piece 105 of the conventional lamp configured as described above.
09 is disposed at the position of the convex surface 117a of the prism element 117, and is emitted from the bulb 111,
Parallel rays reflected by the reflector 113 and incident on the lens 115 are blocked by the frame 109 and are not incident on the entire prism element 117. Therefore, each prism element 117 where the frame 109 is located becomes dark as a whole, as shown in the shaded area in FIG.
09 There was a problem that the inner peripheral edge became dark.

Therefore, as shown in FIG.
Each prism element 217 is square like the above one, and when the lamp chamber 207 is formed into a parallelogram, each prism element 217 located at the periphery of the frame 209 is Frame piece 20
3b, 205 as a boundary, the incidence of light rays is blocked and becomes dark, so that the inner part located within the frame 209 also becomes dark in a stepwise manner, resulting in a problem that the appearance is poor.

In order to solve this problem, it is proposed that each prism element 317 of the lens 315 be made into a parallelogram to match the shape of the lamp chamber 307, as shown in FIG. Although this device can prevent stepwise darkness at the position of the frame 309, since each prism element 317 is a parallelogram, it is not possible to obtain the normally required square or rectangular light distribution. As shown in the light distribution pattern shown in Figure 8, while the light distribution in the B part is redundant compared to the square one, the light distribution in the A part is insufficient, resulting in poor light distribution performance and large light distribution loss. There was a problem.

In this invention, light rays from a light source are reflected by a reflecting mirror, become parallel rays, enter each prism element of a lens, and are diffused by the prism elements. At this time, the diagonal part of the frame formed on the front side of the light chamber is
By making the prism elements at the corresponding locations parallelogram-shaped when viewed from the front, they can be positioned in the recess formed between the convex surfaces of adjacent prism elements, and the prism elements located at the periphery of the frame are blocked from incident light. Since the light is distributed throughout the entire frame, it is possible to prevent the inner periphery of the frame from becoming dark, and it is possible to obtain efficient light distribution.

As is clear from the above description, according to the present invention, the prism elements in the portions corresponding to the diagonal portions of the frame of the lamp chamber are shaped like parallelograms when viewed from the front. The prism element corresponding to the diagonal frame allows the light rays from the light source to enter the entire prism element without being blocked, so the lens will not become dark in the diagonal frame area. It can be prevented, looks good, and can be diffused with good light distribution efficiency and little loss of light distribution. Therefore, even if the lamp chamber is obliquely deformed with respect to a rectangular prism element, a good light distribution can be obtained.

Furthermore, by combining triangular prism elements when viewed from the front, parallelogram prism elements can be connected to square prism elements, and the main prism element does not need to be formed to match the shape of the lamp chamber. By forming it into a rectangular shape with good light distribution efficiency, it is possible to perform diffusion with little light distribution loss over the entire area within the frame.
