(Industrial Application Field) This invention relates to a method for producing metal sulfides. More specifically, this invention is based on BeS,
The present invention relates to a new method for producing metal sulfides that can produce various metal sulfides such as MgS, Sc 2 S 3 , Y 2 S 3 , TiS 2 in a short time and with high purity. (Conventional technologies and their issues) Various metal sulfides are substances that are expected to be applied in many fields as functional materials.
There were two methods for producing this metal sulfide: One method is to make the metal SiO 2 or Al 2
This method involves placing the product in a container such as an O 3 boat, loading this container into a reaction tube in an electric furnace, and raising the temperature while flowing hydrogen sulfide gas to cause a reaction. Although this method is simple, it is extremely difficult to produce a sulfide having a desired composition ratio. For this reason, it is necessary to analyze the obtained product, add the missing element, and perform heat treatment again to obtain a metal sulfide with a predetermined composition. However, in this case as well, it is difficult to adjust the composition ratio. Further, in this method, since the container and the metal are always in contact with each other at the same position, there is a problem that contamination with impurities is unavoidable. Another method is to vacuum-seal the metal to be synthesized and sulfur in an SiO 2 ampoule, place the ampoule in an electric furnace, fix it, and then heat the SiO 2 ampoule and the metal. This is a method in which metals and sulfur are reacted at a temperature below 300°C, which does not cause any reaction. This method is characterized by generating a small amount of sulfide on the metal surface, then gradually raising the temperature, and then holding the reaction at a temperature suitable for the reaction formation temperature of the desired metal sulfide. There is. In this method, since the reaction time is determined by the diffusion rate of sulfur in the sulfide formed on the metal surface, a very long time is generally required for the reaction to complete. In addition, this method also has the problem that the container containing the sample and the metal are always in contact with each other at the same position, so that contamination with impurities is unavoidable. This invention was made in view of the above-mentioned circumstances, and aims to overcome the drawbacks of the conventional methods as described above and to produce high-purity metal sulfide without contamination with impurities in a short time and with high efficiency. The aim is to provide a new manufacturing method that allows for (Means for Solving the Problems) This invention solves the above problems by vacuum-sealing sulfur and metal in an ampoule, rotating the ampoule, and rotating the inner wall of the ampoule at a circumference of 1.5 to 2.7 m/sec. Provided is a method for producing a metal sulfide characterized by heating while maintaining the same speed. (Function) In the method of this invention, by maintaining the inner wall speed of the ampoule vacuum-filled with sulfur and metal at 1.5 to 2.7 m/sec, the contact point between the metal and the ampoule surface is moved, and the metal reduces the ampoule. suppress the reaction. Further, in this method, the metal in the ampoule is kept in a constantly moving state due to this rotation, promoting the sulfide production reaction. In this case, the minimum circumferential speed of the inner wall of the ampoule is set to 1.5 in order to prevent impurities from the ampoule from being mixed into the metal sulfide produced by the reaction between metal and sulfur, and to promote the reaction that produces high-purity sulfide. It is preferable to set it to about m/sec. On the other hand, if the circumferential speed of the ampoule exceeds 2.7 m/sec, samples are blown away by centrifugal force and adhere to the inner wall of the ampoule, which is not preferable.
Therefore, the circumferential velocity of the inner wall of the ampoule is 1.5~
Approximately 2.7m/sec. Since the reaction is carried out while the ampoule is being rotated, the sulfide produced on the metal surface by the reaction constantly grinds the sulfide through mutual contact, promoting the reaction between the metal and sulfur. Therefore, in the method of the present invention, the reaction time for producing metal sulfides can be significantly shortened compared to conventional methods. The method of the present invention will be described in more detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. The method of the present invention can be implemented, for example, in the embodiment illustrated in FIG. In the apparatus illustrated in FIG. 1, for example, one or more SiO 2 ampoules 3 are fixed inside a reaction tube 1 with an inner diameter of about 50 mm using alumina cotton 2, and the alumina cotton 2 is prevented from moving. It is held down with alumina cotton presser rod 4. Further, the alumina cotton presser rod 4 is fixed to the reaction tube 1 via a spring 5. The reaction tube 1 can be rotated by a V-belt 7 and a motor 8 via a bearing 6. Further, the reaction tube 1 is heated by an electric furnace 9, and the temperature can be measured by a thermocouple 10. Ampoule 3 is charged with metal and sulfur for reaction, but the filling rate in this case is generally 25 to 60
It is preferable to set it to about % by volume. EXAMPLES The specific structure and effects of the present invention will be further explained below with reference to Examples. Examples 1 to 5 Using the apparatus shown in Figure 1, chips with small particle sizes obtained by cutting high-purity Be, Mg, Ti, Y, and Sc metals with a purity of 99.99% and special grade reagents were purified. High purity sulfur with a purity of 99.9999% or more, BeS,
MgS, TiS 2 , Y 2 S 3 , and Sc 2 S 3 were weighed using a chemical balance so that they each had a predetermined composition ratio.
This ampoule 3 was fixed in the reaction tube 1 with alumina cotton 2 after vacuum sealing. Next, the reaction tube 1 is moved by the motor 8 at a speed of 2.22 m/sec.
The ampoule 3 was heated in an electric furnace 9 while being rotated at a circumferential speed of 1 to cause a reaction between the metal chips in the ampoule 3 and sulfur. Table 1 shows a comparison of reaction times between the method of the present invention and the conventional method. During this time, the metals Be, Mg, Ti, Y, and Sc react and completely become BeS, MgS, TiS 2 , Y 2 S 3 , Sc 2 S 3
It shows the time required for the sulfide to become a sulfide.

電解質の材料に適したものとなる。[Table] As is clear from Table 1, when metal and sulfur are sealed in an ampoule, rotated, and heated to react in that state, the sulfides formed on the metal surface come into contact with each other, and Because it is in a state of being removed,
The reaction time can be shortened to 1/5.5 to 1/7.5 compared to the conventional method of fixing ampoules and reacting. Furthermore, FIG. 2 shows the relationship between the electric conductivity and the sulfur partial pressure of BeS and MgS of group a produced by the reaction while rotating the ampoule 3. As can be seen from this figure 2, BeS,
Since MgS is highly pure, there are areas where the electrical conductivity does not change even if the sulfur partial pressure changes.
It can be seen that these sulfides are compounds that exhibit ionic conductivity. From this, MgS produced by the method of the present invention, which is characterized by rotating the ampoule 3,
It can be seen that BeS is a material with excellent properties that is suitable as a base material for solid electrolytes due to its high purity. In conventional methods, the ampoule is always in contact with the metal or the sulfide obtained by reaction, so it is impossible to prevent impurities from entering the ampoule, and it is difficult to achieve high purity, which is useful for solid electrolyte materials. It is not possible to produce sulfides. This method of rotating the ampoule prevents contamination of impurities from the ampoule and provides highly pure metal sulfide. (Effects of the Invention) As explained in detail above, according to the present invention, the reaction between the ampoule and the metal can be suppressed, the metal and sulfur can be reacted with high efficiency, and a highly pure metal sulfide can be obtained. . This high-purity metal sulfide, such as stoichiometric TiS 2 , is a compound that exhibits a layered crystal structure, so when used as a cathode material for lithium batteries, lithium ions diffuse into the crystal lattice and become charged. Due to the good reversibility of discharge, it can be used as a positive battery material in new types of secondary batteries, enabling batteries with high energy density. Furthermore, the high purity MgS and BeS, which are sulfides of group a metals produced by the method of the present invention, exhibit ionic electrical conductivity, and are therefore suitable as materials for sulfide solid electrolytes.
