Rinse tanks generally supply water at a rate of 20 to 200 mm per minute, and use a replenishment system in which overflow water is discarded. This rinsing bath has the role of washing away dye stabilizers and anti-sulfuration agents that adhere to photosensitive materials in the bleach-fixing bath, but when the water temperature exceeds 35°C, sulfides precipitate and adhere to the photosensitive materials, causing discoloration. This may cause Generally, the water temperature in the rinse tank is below 35°C, but since a circulation pump is used in the rinsing tank, the temperature of this pump may heat the rinsing liquid and cause it to rise above 35°C. There is.

The present invention has been made in consideration of the above-mentioned facts, and an object of the present invention is to provide a photographic processing apparatus that is capable of reliably washing a photosensitive material without precipitation of sulfides.

In the photographic processing apparatus according to the present invention, water at a lower temperature than the bleach-fix tank or fixing tank is supplied between the bleach-fixing tank or the fixing tank and the rinsing tank of the replenishing waste liquid type at a flow rate higher than that of the rinsing tank. A washing tank is installed,
The feature is that the waste liquid from the rinsing tank and the waste liquid from the washing tank are mixed and disposed of as waste water.

The present invention is effective when a bleach-fixing tank or a fixing tank is provided after a color developing tank, and the dye stabilizer and sulfurization inhibitor contained in this bleach-fixing tank or fixing tank adhere to the photosensitive material and are transferred to the washing tank. Even if this happens, there will be no precipitation of sulfides because the water flow in the washing tank is high and the water temperature is lower than in the rinsing tank.

This washing tank is preferably a running water washing method without using a circulation pump such as a rinsing tank, that is, a method in which water is supplied from one side and overflow water is discharged, so that there is no temperature rise and sulfide is removed. Precipitation can be reliably prevented. Furthermore, even when using a water washing method that uses a circulation pump, the flow rate of water is large, so temperature rise is suppressed, and sulfide precipitation does not occur.

The waste liquid from the washing tank and the waste liquid from the rinsing tank are mixed and disposed of as waste water, thereby reducing the content of pollutants in the waste water.

The drawing shows a photo processing apparatus 10 to which the present invention is applied.
It is shown. In this photographic processing apparatus 10, the photosensitive material 12 that has been exposed is transferred to a color developing tank 14,
Bleach-fix tank 16, washing tank 18, rinse tank 20, 2
It is designed to be taken out after passing through 2. Each of these tanks is filled with a developing solution 24, a bleach-fixing solution 26, washing water 28, and a rinsing solution 30, respectively.
Further, winding rollers 32 are respectively pivotally supported inside and above each of these tanks, so that the photosensitive material 12 is sequentially immersed into these tanks and sent out.

A rinsing liquid 30 is supplied to the lower part of the rinsing tank 22 from a water supply source (not shown) as shown by arrow A.
After overflowing from the upper part of this rinsing tank 22, it enters the lower part of the rinsing tank 20 as shown by arrow B.

Further, a circulation pipe 34 is connected to the rinsing tank 22, and the rinsing liquid 30 is agitated by a pump 36 provided at an intermediate portion of the circulation pipe 34. Similarly, the rinsing tank 22 is also provided with a circulation pipe and a pump for stirring. For this reason, the rinsing liquid 30 is circulated within the rinsing tanks 20 and 22 to efficiently rinse the photosensitive material 12, but the temperature of the liquid rises somewhat due to the heat generated by the pump 36.

Rinsing water is supplied to the lower part of the rinsing tank 18 from a water supply source (not shown) as shown by arrow C, and after overflowing from the upper part, waste water is discharged as shown by arrow D along with the waste liquid of the rinsing liquid 30 that overflows from the upper part of the rinsing tank 20. It is becoming more and more common. This washing water is a rinse liquid 30 indicated by arrow A.
The rinsing liquid 30 is supplied with a flow rate higher than that of the rinsing liquid 30, and its temperature is lower than that of the rinsing liquid 30, which is approximately 30°C.

Next, the photosensitive material 12 is drawn into the washing tank 18 and is washed with washing water 28 . Since the washing water 28 has a relatively large flow rate and a low temperature, the dye stabilizer and anti-sulfuration agent are properly washed away. Further, since the water temperature of the washing water 28 is low, the anti-sulfuration agent does not precipitate.

As explained above, in the photographic processing apparatus according to the present invention, since the washing tank is provided with a water flow rate higher than that of the rinsing tank and at a lower temperature, it is possible to suppress the precipitation of sulfides and ensure reliable washing, and also to mix these waste liquids. This has the excellent effect of reducing the content of pollutants in wastewater.
